Today, 07 APR 2026, my MacBook Pro was hacked by an Ad from Abner James which appeared in the SPAM Folder. I contacted AOL Tech Support and it determined that my AOL Account had been hacked. The Customer Support person had things cleaned up then walked me through changing my PW. After I deleted the 8 or so SPAM E-Mail messages the Attack Add disappeared from the SPAM folder.

When I looked at my INBOX the attack ad from Abner James was at the top of the list of e-mail. I called AOL Tech Support again. It verified that thing looked fine on my account as of then, but it could do nothing to remove the attack ad. It recommended that I report it here.

AOL needs to screen Ads which it runs to verify that they are *not* attacks.

There is no way for me to remove this add from my INBOX because touching it in any way triggers the attack.
