When you fail to do something about the problem, you become a leading cause of the problem. I have not been able to block senders of spam for years now, and it is allowing that spam to overrun my inbox. I have had my AOL e-mail address since 1995 and I feel certain that AOL knows how difficult it is to leave their service after so long, so they are basically just dropping the ball and leaving their clientele to suffer. It not only opens users up to all manner of fraud or fuckery, but it paves the way for privacy breaches and "oops, your data was sold on the dark web, our bad." Nothing like being held ******* by your e-mail provider. AOL Mail can improve by doing the job they are supposed to do.
