Due to recent adjustments to the AOL Mail platform, the Spam Settings customization, are no longer available for all accounts. We apologize for the inconvenience. In order to block a specific sender, go to Options – Mail Settings – Spam Settings and add the email addresses in the box below “Block Mail from Addresses I Specify”, then click Save Settings at the bottom, and in case you receive unwanted emails in the Inbox, mark them as Spam.
WHEN ARE YOU PEOPLE GOING TO RESTORE ABILITY TO BLOCK SPECIFIC CHARACTERS, RATHER THAN FULL E-MAIL ADDRESSES?! THE PHISHING PRETENDING TO BE AOL SUPPORT COMING FROM prodigy.net.mx IS ENDLESS, AND MULTIPLE TIMES/DAY.
GOT A NEW PHISHING SOURCE PRETENDING TO BE AOL AND NEW MAIL POLICIES. I AM NOW GETTING OVER 5 THINGS LIKE THIS A DAY, AND AOL DOES NOTHING TO ALLOW FOR FILTERING OF E-MAIL PROVIDER SOURCES OTHER THAN FOR FULL E-MAIL ADDRESSES. HAVE BEEN PAYING FOR AOL FOR 24 YEARS, BUT IF YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS THERE IS NOT MUCH POINT IN PAYING
The filter system no longer works to block domain names. As a paying member, I had an AOL rep. attempt to modify a filter I had to block @prodigy.net.mx, from which vast amounts of fake OATH phishing come every day from different e-mail addresses. The AOL rep's change made no difference. If we pay for AOL service, we should be able to stop wasting time deleting all this garbage. Please return filter system settings to allow this; they used to work.
