I tried to vote for a post with the same issue but the vote button wouldn't work. I believe it is ABSOLUTELY UNFAIR that we cannot deactivate that crazy spam filter you have. One of my email addresses is used for emergency management and disaster relief coordination. Your filter has marked several extremely important messages as spam recently thereby delaying important responses. I have addressed this before with negative results. I stayed on when you people acquired my email accounts only because I wanted to keep my Verizon address and not have to go through the process of changing my address that I have had for over 30 years but I am going to have to go through this I guess as your system is so user UNFRIENDLY. Some examples of my complaint. The FEMA daily operations report which comes out daily 365 days a year. Every once in a while it goes to spam. I just found two messages sent by the state VOAD president (VOAD being a disaster relief organization) in the spam folder. This delays response to important matters affecting diaster victims and this is someone with whom I communicate regularly. These are just a couple of ridiculous examples of how this spam system works. Of course I can always count on receiving all the messages from online phishermen attempting to get my information as well as ambulance chasers looking to sue someone and let us not forget all the snake oil salesmen selling God knows what. It would be so much easier for me to do my own filtering by using the delete button. I know this is probably an exercise in futility and I'll probably end up closing the account but I thought I would try one more time. Of course I will be glad to also get the message out about this as far and wide as I can to steer clear of aol because they believe THEY should control your account and not you.
