So if I go back to FREE AOL Desktop Gold, what do I loose? Nothing. You're stripping this down anyway, 'support' is non existent.
Why pay the five buck subscription fee for 'support'. What are you supporting? Certainly not our wishes nor the good stuff you once had that drew us to AOL in the first place.

Over charging for programs
Your programs you are charging $3.99 a month for are a very bad deal for subscribers and not a benefit. You are way over charging. I can go to the companies web site and get it for a fixed price for $25 to $30 and not make continuous payments. Your techs are instructed to sell it and I tell them what I stated here and that it is not their fault, One program, Super Anti Spyware is not so super and is rated very low. I've been with AOL for over 20 years, but I'm very concerned about the lack of stability with aol gold. The last week of aol activity has been very frustrating. Here's what I'm seeing: 1) I sent an email to a friend,

Eliminate chatroom bosses
I believe that Aol should eliminate chatroom moderators / bosses . Strangers should not be allowed to block paying Aol customers posts . Aol should have the final say as related to blocking posts in a chatroom .... Aol should eliminate chatroom moderators because human beings that are given that kind of power will cheat . Desktop Gold is a joke
When AOL was free rarely had an issue, then you start charging $5.99 a month and nothing but problems. Usually when you pay for a service it's better, but not in this case, Fix it or make it free again!!!

EVER TRY TO GET AOL OFF YOUR COMPUTER? NEAR IMPOSSIBLE. IT VIRTUALLY TAKES A COMPLETE ERASING AND CLEARING OF YOUR HARD DRIVE AND RELOADING WINDOWS OR MAC PROGRAM, ITS THAT DEEP INTO YOUR SYSTEM. MOST PEOPLE I TALK TO LAUGH ABOUT AOL AND CONSIDER IT JUNK AND THE ABSOLUTE WORST PROGRAM OUT THERE. YET, AOL CHARGES FOR SPAMMING US WITH ADS, POPUPS, CYBER AND BANDWIDTH CLUTTER. Change the "look" from childish and whimsical to neat and professional. The former style met my expectations, The "Gold" version is not eye-friendly at all.

Bad, Bad, Bad
AOL has gone so far down the tubes I'm not sure they can ever get it back to where it was. It's a total mess. What a shame.
