How can I delete more than 1 email at a time? Or empty folders?

I can’t find any way to get rid of my 4000 emails except one at a time. Then hoe do you get rid of deleted emails?

Here is how to delete multiple emails:

1. Tap the Mail icon in the AOL app.

2. Tap the folder your message is in.

3. Tap the box next to the messages you want deleted.

4. Alternatively, tap Select All after selecting the first message.

5. Tap the Delete icon at the top of the screen.

    My AOL app is not working. Hasn’t in a while. I did the updates on AOL mail. Now, the app says I have mail but when I open it it is blank. So, I tried deleting app and restore. It won’t let me delete!
    Call AOL....no help.

    Not sure if I’m missing a feature, been on this app since 1995 very dissatisfied. Will start using this address as a junk mail account if not resolved.

    Need a select all from the inbox to facilitate spam deletion.
    Need to be able to stop political adds option or to automatically send to a mail box.

    Deleting emails from an older iPad

    Is there an easy way to delete hundreds of emails? Other than checking the box on each one, I can't figure out how to do it.

    I have over 5000 emails, most of which can probably be deleted. I’d like to be able to search for a sender and then delete all the emails that were found without having to check each checkbox by each email. The Verizon email website allowed me to do this.

    For example, search for CNN. Have an option to either select all and then delete them, or just delete them. The first option would also give the users the opportunity to move them to a folder, too, if desired.

    Add two functions Delete all and give option 30 days, 60 days etc

    It may be that I just don’t know how, but what I would like to be able to do and can’t seem to find the option is to check a box at the top that selects all the emails and then you hit delete and it deletes ALL 5,000 emails ! Yayyyyy!!!! I currently have to go thru one at a time. :(

    Since the change some months back to the trash feature, it has been very difficult to use. Having to slide up and down continually until the trash can appears is very annoying and time consuming.

    NO THIS CERTAINLY DOES NOT WORK!! AOL is ancient in their systems. Outlook, Gmail, etc. lol have the ability to sort email boxes by using a name, email, or subject to gather them

    Does this procedure work for a desktop computer also to clean out mail? Used to be you could type in the search bar and it would pull up just what you typed in like, say weight watchers. Then you could hit delete and it would erase all of the weight watcher articles. I hate it when they fix something that's not broken!
