I have a couple of troubleshooting steps for you that should resolve this issue:

1. If you’re signed in, tap the Settings icon, tap Manage Accounts, then tap Edit, tap Remove
2. Restart your mobile device
3. Uninstall and reinstall the app with the latest version
4. Lastly, switch the internet connection from WiFi to mobile data

    This is really getting disgusting! After 20 years with AOL and very few problems this jumping out back to the home screen or the app just stopping is a real pain **********! If it’s not fixed soon you’ll be losing a long time customer as I will close my account and go with another service?

    My AOL app keeps crashing. Ever since I downloaded the last Apple update dated 5/5/2020
    Version 5.14.1. 68.9 MB. I have not been able to use app since 5/6/2020. After two hours on phone today with two great people, they still were unable to resolve. Tech support advised that this is an AOL software program. I can see by the many comments, that this is a big problem. PLEASE HELP! Over 25 years with AOL, no problems. This is awful. I need quick access to my emails, especially from my medical doctors.

    I need to keep signing in to check mail. Crashes all the time. Please fix bug.

    DITTO! It’s driving me crazy! Having to sign in every time! And crashing!!!

    Ditto On the app crashing: Please fix fast. And I don’t like having to sign in every single time, especially when it crashes within two minutes. Very frustrating… Contemplating leaving AOL.

    My mail app keeps closing intermittently. Do I delete the app and add it again?

    This mail app stinks!! It keeps crashing at whim! I’ll be moving an email to a new folder and it shuts down. Then I don’t know if it went into the folder I was putting it in, or if it went into Old Mail! It also just randomly shuts down whenever!! I’ve had AOL mail for 20 years on my laptop and through the IOS mail app and never had any problems. But since I had to delete the IOS mail app because it was compromised and download and use the AOL mail app separately I hate it!

    Same! App closes in the middle of reading an email. Everyday for a couple of weeks now, several times a day.

    Fix the app. It quits constantly and looses the email that was open. It quits almost every time I delete or try to move an email. I have been an AOL member ever since it started and I have never experienced such an annoying and damaging app. I have lost important emails never to be seen again. It even quits while reading the email or trying to move it.

    The AOL Mail app on the iPhone keeps closing, shutting down and crashing. This has been occurring for sometime now. I see all the complaints and nothing has been done by AOL to resolve the issues. Restarting the iPhone, deleting the app and reinstalling it and every else that has been suggested does not resolve the issue. So the problem is with the AOL app. Read the complaints and you will see that numerous people are complaining about the same issues. So PLEASE, once and for all can someone FIX THE APP for iPhone users. You’ve told me to reach out on this site. So now I have. Let’s see if we get results! Thank you!
