SPAM
Since downloading and utilizing this app my SPAM mailed has increased tremendously!! Please install stronger filters!!
We are continually making changes to improve your experience.
If unwanted junk mail is getting through your filters, the best way to stop it is to mark it as spam, under the ‘More’ menu.
For advanced settings, go to mail.aol.com on a desktop computer and create filters under Mail Settings. You can filter incoming mail to go to the folders where you want them — or, make unwanted mail from specific senders go straight into Trash or Spam. Note: You can create up to 50 filters.

I’ve noticed over the past 2 months that the amount of Spam that I’m receiving (in my Junk folder) is astronomical!
Every single day.
One day I decided not to delete the Spam for 24 hours. At the end of the day, I had received ‘112’!
It’s very annoying to delete.
Please bring this to your Supervisor and ask them to get the programmers to fix this issue.
If not, I’ll be forced to switch email providers.
My friends’ gmail account had only ‘4’ Spam emails in their Junk folder over 24 hours.
If they can do it, so can AOL.
The Spam problem is damaging your business. -

I have spent a lot of time trying to figure out how I can block certain senders that constantly send me emails from the mobile app since I don’t have a PC the only solution I can think of is to switch to Gmail or something.

I find that cleaning out my inbox is fairly difficult and time consuming. If there was an easier way to access the blocking function that would make everything much easier. Thank you

I mark the same emails from the same addresses over and over and over and over again. They never go to spam. They are filling my inbox. I bought a house and good lord knows who they sold my email too but while I’m awaiting their “10 day unsubscribe” process I mark them as spam and they still come through.
I’m about to get rid of my aol!!

I am very tired of all the spam email in AOL and having to constantly unsubscribe. Wastes too much time and I will probably close my account soon.

There is nowhere within the app that I can report harrassing scam emails. I have received an email from someone who had an old password of mine, and was claiming to have recorded me masterbating, threatening to share with my contacts if I didn't set up a Bitcoin account, and send money. You should add a report scam button to your app, so as to make reporting these kinds of emails easier. I don't have a computer. I go online only from my phone. This person has no such recording, and I don't appreciate being threatened. Please add a reporting scam button to your app. Thank you

Still get a lot of spam in inbox. Need better filter options. Filter messages by known and unknown senders so that it will be less tedious to get rid of without having to go through each and every email. The ones with blocked images and saying that the email is from a possible unknown sender should automatically go to spam but if it doesn’t there should be a way to filter it to unknown messages.

Stop sending **** I don’t want - how do I filter it out?

Your spam “filters” are worthless. More like spam magnets. I get 30/day and unsubscribing does nothing. I’m migrating 100% to gmail as the problem is worsening and unmanageable and the time I spend unsubscribing without an impact is excessive and wasted.

I am, once again, writing to loudly protest these ads as AOL should not be promoting them on this venue. My SPAM mail is about 80% filled with it and it disgusts me. You must know that children have access to family computers and as such should not be faced with inappropriate content. I am going to report this problem to the BBB, States Attorney General, FTC and anywhere else if I have to, to stop this disgusting content on AOL. PLEASE REPLY.

I have had AOL since 1995. Now its time to delete my account. I will need to give everyone I’ve known through all these years a new email and content platform. Your spam in emailing was the last touch for this decision. Terrible!! Its an end of an era. Darn shame after all these years. Im kicking AOL to the curb.

Even though these awful messages go to my Spam folder, it is very offensive to me to receive these! What can I do to get rid of them. I am about ready to change email carriers.
