Unable to attach file attachment
I am currently unable to attach document files to my emails using AOL Mobile. Not sure if I’m doing anything wrong. Never had this problem in the past. Please advise.
In the AOL App you can only add photos or videos.

This app doesn’t seem to allow you to attach or imbed photos. The composition window often closes before I finish and the email is nowhere to be found. (Not in drafts.). I end up having to start over. I am considering a switch to a new provider after 25 years of using an AOL address. Yes, your app sucks so bad, that I’m about to bail on a customer relationship that has lasted for a quarter century.

When trying to attach an existing photo to an email, I can only view the last one I sent and cannot return to view all.

I’m not able to attach anything - files or photos - when using AOL mobile on my iPhone. If this isn’t fixed, I’ll use another provider. I’ve used AOL for over 20 years but this is a dealbreaker!

When composing a new message in AOL Mail on Windows devices, I am given the option to attach a photo OR FILE.
When running the AOL MAIL app on my iPad, it doesn’t give me the option to attach a file. The only options are TAKE PHOTO OR VIDEO or CHOOSE EXISTING. If I select CHOOSE EXISTING, the app only lists my photo albums. Why can’t the app be updated to allow the user to select a file?

Images get attached as plist instead of png or jpg files
Unable to attach images, on an email, on the AOL App for iOS. On the AOL iPhone app when i attach an image on an email then that image gets attached as a plist file instead of png or jpg! However, when I attach images on email on the AOL iPhone-Safari mobile-site version, my AOL mail account on the Apple-Mail app, or AOL PC version then they get attached as png or jpg as they are suppose to. Is this a glitch?

Is there any reason why we can only attach pictures and not documents such as pdfs? Who emails pictures anymore rather than documents? I can see someone’s pictures all over social media, but I can’t attach a document to someone in an email.

Why on earth can I only attach PHOTOS?!? It only gives the option to choose attachment from ALBUMS?!? So stupid. What do I have to do to attach a PDF file located outside of my albums???

Can not Attach files on AOL email commented
Dear AOL software specialist,
When clicking the attach button on an AOL email, I normally saw file folder on my iPhone 7 before.
Now if I do the same thing, I would only see the photograph album or to take a photo, but the iPhone 7 file folder is not in the manual anymore for unknown reason.
Has that been changed for the iOS operating system in the current version AOL e-mail App?
Would appreciate if you could help me on this.
Thank you.
Regards,

I won’t be using the app anymore since I can’t embed photos. I can attach, but not insert. That’s a big problem.

The AOL app for iPhone allows attachments but only looks in Camera Roll and other places where only Photos are found. Other mail apps including the default one for IPhone can look in OneDrive and other places to attach documents of any type. I would prefer to use AOL because I then have access to the same folders saved when I access mail.aol.com from a PC.

The AOL app on the iPhone (I’m at iOS 12.3) doesn’t seem to allow one to attach files to an email other than photos. The Yahoo app on the other hand makes it so easy to attach files, and so does AOL in a web browser on Windows 10.
Like I just created a Word file and what to attach it to AOL email (I’m a Verizon.net AOL user), but I cannot use the paper clip to even find it. But when I use Yahoo, the Word file shows up as one of the first sets of choices to attach.
What’s the problem with the AOL app? If Yahoo can do it, why can’t AOL? And I know Gmail can as well.

While attaching a picture on my iPhone 10s using either the default mail app or the a o l app they will not get sent out. They either to the outbox and remain there or into drafts.

When I attach an existing photo and try to send it it gets stuck. Often times I’ll find it in my outbox or in drafts. Occasionally I’ll get a blue notice on my screen “it’s embarrassing “ referring to the fact that it went to drafts.
Thanks,
Please advise
