Block Rochester Busines Journal (a paid/subscription site) from the local news section.
Pleas consider blocking the Rochester Business Journal (RBJ) from thew local news for Rochester, NY. If you click on a story headline, you go to what is obviously a paid /subscription site to read a sentence or two, with the rest of the article upon subscribing.

Make comments on news articles for paid AOL users only
The news comments are getting way out of control. After checking I find that most of the really bad ones are from guest contributors, not paid members of AOL. I pay for my subscription and find some of the obscene and hateful things said by these "guests" are so out of control they are beyond disgusting. The other day, I saw one person sign on with several "handles" but had the same icon. His comments were way out of line with the Oath TOS and he actually answered himself with a new name agreeing with these radical nasty comments. I…

I think you can improve AOL by looking at your top suggestions on this list and stop gathering information and act to make improvements.
My idea is to give us the option to opt out of the news feed. I seem to remember there used to be a way to change the welcome screen to be more user appropriate. I would love to see this area changed to cooking, gardening, sports, or other hobby/interest related information.

Take out all the security nonsense
Why do I have to do recaptcha every single time I log onto MY OWN PHONE. The robot stuff is nonsense and it tries to make me change my password every single time. I also have to send a code to my phone to log in. every single time. Aol is already the worst out there this is sending me over the edge

Make password reset free
I recently changed my number and got a new phone. I forgot my password to login. I’ve had this email for over 10 years. Called customer service and they told me I have to PAY TO GET MY PASSWORD RESET. Never heard of something like that in my life. Looks like I’ll be losing all my emails I had on there and I’ll never go back to AOL.

Reporting the news
I would like for our news reporters to actually report the news honestly and straight forward. I don't need these uninformed nut cases (Naddow) telling me what to think. They are not supposed to be for one side or the other. Just report on the happenings of the day and I will decide who I believe is right. That is what I am going to do anyhow. We have caught the Media in SOOOOOOOO many lies that we now know they cannot be trusted!

AOL needs to rebrand themselves and become the "Original Social Media" and out perform the competition.
Offer AIM, Chat Rooms and be a better platform then Facebook. As you know, many are unhappy with Facebook and I don't know why AOL didn't take the bull by the horns and out do Facebook in the beginning. Heck I even met my wife on AOL in 1998 and we married in 1999. I remember that being very different to meet people like that then, unlike it is today. Make AOL where friends and family can share photos while staying connected. Also allow members to make groups, pages and stores. Take the best of what every other social media…

Allow “paste” for verification codes.
On IOS, When I need to reset my password you send a code to me, I copy it and then try to paste it and there is no “paste” option, just “look up” — this is just poor UX
