Random charges
You can improve by telling me why there is a random $10 charge from aol.com on my checking account when I don't use aol in any shape, form or fashion.
As much as I would like to help you directly, for security concerns, we do not handle billing information through this forum. This article may answer your questions: aol.it/1Dbu5zL If you have additional questions, call the AOL Billing Team at 1-800-827-6364 Monday – Friday (8 AM to 1 AM ET,) and Saturday (8 AM and 10 PM ET.)

I received my credit card statement for July 20-August 19 and there was a charge for $179.99 for AOL Assist. I immediately called AOL and told them that they should have notified me in advance about this charge because I did not wish to renew it. They said that they were going to cancel it. I also told my credit card company not to pay it. Now, when my husband goes on AOL he cannot sign out because a box pops up saying there is an outstanding balance of $179.99. I called AOL Assist and they said that I have to pay it because the renewal had taken effect on July 23. I did not get my credit card statement until after the renewal had taken effect. Why would I have to pay for service for a year that I canceled and am not getting. I spoke to several people and did not resolve the problem. I have dealt with other companies and they give advance notice of an upcoming renewal so that you have the option of canceling it. I am on a fixed income and cannot afford to throw money away. I think AOL is taking advantage of people and It is making me anxious, angry and resentful of what they are trying to do to me. The account is under my husband's e-mail address (rdoug48440@aol.com, but the AOL Assist was paid for with my credit card.
