Please give me someone that I can talk to about my problem - technical assistance.
Starting yesterday, Aol keeps pushing old emails (that I have already read, deleted or filed) to my Outlook at the rate of 9,000 emails for the past year. Why did this start happening? I got rid of 9,000 emails last night and today it keeps trying to reload them! What's up with that?
In most cases this issue is caused by the POP protocol’s “Leave a copy of the message on the server” option. Because POP only downloads mail that is in the Inbox, you can move the mail from the Inbox to another folder in your account online (log into http://mail.aol.com from a desktop computer) before taking the email application online, to avoid getting old emails downloaded again. Also, please re-add your account using the settings from this help article: https://help.aol.com/articles/how-do-i-set-up-other-email-applications-to-send-and-receive-my-verizon-net-mail
