Sexual Civil Commitment
I would like to see AOL post news about the unfair Sexual Civil Commitment Law in New Jersey. The cost to warehouse these residents is about $150,000 a year per person, and their are about 450 residents (you do the math) that is a lot of money that can be used for better issues. Their is no updated reports that state that the treatment they receive vs one who does not receive treatment will or will not commit a another sexual crime. This is cruel punishment because they are not inmates and they are committed after serving their sentence. When a person is Sexually Civil Committed they are facing a lifetime sentence where there is almost no chance of ever getting out. Plus what would be very interesting is I heard that the Clinical Director was sued for Sex Harassment, the person won the suit and he is still the clinical director. Murders and Terrorist go free after sentence, then sex offenders that are not violent should also be set free.
