Interesting that AOL gets their news feed from Yahoo, and if you go to Yahoo news, below each article is this .... "Our goal is to create a safe and engaging place for users to connect over interests and passions. In order to improve our community experience, we are temporarily suspending article commenting". So best to not bother with Yahoo or AOL anymore, let them read their own stories to themselves.

Ditto everyone! I did think I had clicked inadvertently but nope! Just another annoying AOL piece of garbage thinking of ditching and just using BBC/Google.....

Glad it's not just me either. And, thanks Mondeo - 'Update what'?

Glad it's not just me, yesterday I turned my router off and unplugged the BT connection, left it for 20 minutes and once reconnected, comments were available again, but not today, and the trick didn't work either, might be worth trying your mobile via the network and not connected to your Wi-Fi, if that works then it makes you wonder if this is the old Chinese method of stopping comments they don't like.

On every single news story banners appear stating "Content is not available due to your privacy preferences." It then invites me to click on them but offers not a clue as to which one I have to change in order to comment or access the blocked content.

I think they stopped everyone commenting because some of us were telling the REAL TRUTH and they cannot handle the truth!

Can not see any of the comments and am unable to comment on any of the news articles. Just getting this article is not available due to your privacy settings but I have changed nothing, and all looks to be okay when I look at them.

I too am getting this "This content is not available due to your privacy preferences......." I have changed nothing and have no idea how to resolve the issue.
I will just delete my AOL account if it is going to be ongoing. -

This box that states "This content is not available due to your privacy preferences. Update your settings here to see it."also appears when I try to access any AOL games. Occurred Tuesday and then came back OK and then same problem came back yesterday and is still there.

Sections within the AOL News articles have box's which state: "This content is not available due to your privacy preferences. Update your settings here to see it." This problem first occurred yesterday but somehow resolved itself a few hours later but has reoccurred this evening.
The option of viewing or making a comment has also disappeared. I have made no changes to my Privacy settings etc. -

I have no idea what the url of the countless articles would be!!! What a terrible excuse for ignoring folks who have been refused the option to post on your news blog. As for me...MY ISSUE IS FOR NO REASON WHATSOEVER, I AM NO LONGER PERMITTED TO OPINE ON YOUR NEWS BLOG! I have not broken any rules. Get real, AOL! Clearly, this is happening all over the country, to countless others who simply want to exercise their FIRST AMENDMENT right of FREE SPEECH.

Earlier today lots of box's state: "This content is not available due to your privacy preferences. Update your settings here to see it."
The option of viewing or making a comment has also disappeared. I have made no changes to my Privacy settings etc. -

The comments box for all articles has been replaced by "This content is not available due to your privacy preferences. Update your settings here to see it."
My partner sees the same on a totally separate AOL account so I'm guessing it's a problem with the site.
Any updates AOL ? -

"This content is not available due to your privacy preferences.
Update your settings here to see it."
I can no longer see the Comment section.
I have not changed any settings recently -

Me too. I'm logged in. I go to an article to comment, AND SUDDENLY I'M *NOT* LOGGED IN!
If I comment, it throws me back to the beginning of the article. It does this on ALL articles, and has been doing it for days.
