Fair enough, Marianne...
I never suggested that Orcas never "kill for sport!"
I simply believe that is not their main form of recreation.
And I don't believe anyone can accurately draw a hard line by saying they are never at risk of predation. Which means that they do... albeit seldom... have a need to protect themselves!
My point is simply that the world is not black and white....
Predator or prey!
And just for S&Gs...
There are dozens of species in the animal kingdom who kill for sport... scientifically referred to as "surplus killing."
On that list are dolphins, feral and domestic cats, leopards, ants, spiders, monkeys and apes, and even elephants! Not to mention the most prevalent of them all... humans!
However... none of them exhibit that behavior all the time!
