Oncor Statement on Inaccurate Land Purchase Release

DALLAS (September 15, 2025) — Last week, a press release was distributed that was not reviewed or approved by Oncor regarding land purchased at the southwest quadrant of Interstate 35E and West Sterrett Road. This release has a number of inaccuracies, and most importantly, misstates plans for this land.

While final planning for the land is still in development, it will primarily be used to support personnel and stage equipment. There are no plans for this property to be a substation or an Oncor facility that serves power.
