Podcast critique
Hi, I admit I'm several months behind on listening as I listen to a lot of other podcasts while driving. That being said, I just listened to a scathing critique of Elon Musk of Tesla and Jim Hackett from Ford. The podcasters disdained these captains of industry for their management, including strategic planning, allocation of resources, marketing mis-steps, communication issues, and personal behavior. THEN a few minutes later they go on to describe their own personal writing styles when it came to writing car reviews. They go on about trouble putting together an article, having to break and come back to it, re-reading and re-writing. I'm thinking to myself at this point that these guys are lucky to be doing what they do, because they probably couldn't hold down any other job in the US economy. These guys are pontificating about people performing at the highest levels of their industries, having the weight of billions of dollars and hundreds of thousands of employees on every decision they make. These guys have no basis of experience to be criticizing the leaders of major corporations. I generally enjoy the show, but the whole thing was laughable. Stick to talking about the cars.
