I don't think they are censoring because they are "liberals" or "leftist"..On the contrary, they seem to have sort of a narrow minded puritanical approach to all comments. Also almost everthing that is mildly controversial is off topic.

There is no freedom of speech on comments. I regularly write reader comments on various well respected newspapers and have never been banned and often get many likes. It is unbelievable. When there was a baby formula shortage I mentioned the word breastfeeding as being a possible alternative for some people to try..the whole comment was censored. Just censored today. I will not partake in any further discussions or comments. There is no freedom of civilized speech on their forums.

I am constantly censored by the AOL communists. It is so irritating. Not sure how they can get away with it, but they will surely take your monthly payment as long as they can get away with it. I want to get off AOL and tell them to shove it because of their censorship but it would be a pain since I've had the same email on everything for over 20 years. So I try to get on and check my email and then get off before I see all of their President Trump and other conservative hate articles which they post constantly as part of their propaganda campaign. Wouldn't it be nice to have free speech in America. You will not have free speech on AOL.

OK AOL, you've had your fun. Now reinstate my comments. Each one you censored has been copied and has been sent to my Representative and both Senators for their inclusion into banishing section 230. There's more than one way to skin a cat. I logged on in a different name and email address. The comments are flowing again.

All my comments on AOL were censored today as they did not meet their guidelines. So I gave it the keyboard test. I typed my keyboard. It came back that my comment was on hold. I typed a response that all it said was "Good". It came back the same way. I've compiled a list of these censored comments and have sent them to my Representative and senators in Congress. Abolish section 230.

I posted that there were an estimated 330,000 victims of sexual abuse within the catholic church between 2015-2020. When aske by who's estimate, I tried to post this:

It was rejected, and I got a message that I couldn't post on the topic, because too many of my comments had been rejected. Well, almost all of them had, despite containing no foul language, threats , or insults.

Forget this nonsense that AOL is left or right, it's simply an anti american organization, which wants to keep any facts out of the conversation. Insults falsehoods, obscenities etc, are allowed. AOL simply want's a destructive, divisive, mean spirited argument, devoid of constructive facts, to be promoted. .

Asking why people feel it is someone else responsibility too pay their funeral expense is a ligit question yet AOL will not post it.

Aol, no longer allows me to comment on anything. Even, if I make nice comment, they block what I say. It is called America online but it should be called Socialist online. I have had AOL for 30 years and this is how they treat me.

They censor truth more than anything...Comments about Blacks, even known to be the truth about Blacks and their habits, CENSORED...They also censor and should, bigoted whites, but truth is truth, about blacks or whites or any race and should not be censored...It is.
