AOL - Please reach out to people before deleting their emails!
I recently logged onto my father's email to look for something important we needed on his behalf. Now, mind you, I don't really remember the last time I logged on for him. However, when I logged on the other day, all of his emails were gone.
AOL did NOT reach out to my mother or I, even though both of us have our phone numbers and emails on the recovery methods, so they should know who to contact.
Instead of deleting memories, important documents, etc, how about AOL makes a new system, like an archive? Or perhaps maybe reaching out to the recovery phone/email to give a warning or reminder? That would be so much nicer, and if any AOL reps are reading this, PLEASE reinstate any deleted emails that you can to everyone affected, and if you cannot... well, safe to say, many customers are considering migrating to other services that don't charge you to get support on an issue that YOU caused. Thanks in advance.
