I am writing on behalf of my friend, who suffers from a chronic disease that has left him disabled and unable to manage his AOL accounts without assistance. He has authorized me to contact you regarding an urgent matter involving his account access.
He has two AOL email accounts:
• XXXXX@aol.com (primary account)
• XXXXX@aol.com (secondary account)
Each account is listed as the recovery email for the other. Unfortunately, he did not set up a phone number or any additional recovery method. As a result, he is now locked out of both accounts and cannot complete the automated recovery process.
My friend has been an AOL account holder since the earliest days of the service. At the time he created these accounts, AOL did not require security questions, personal identification details, or other verification information. Because of this, he does not recall ever entering a name or other identifying information on the accounts.
Without any advance notice, he was locked out of both accounts and has been attempting to regain access since January 2026. These accounts are essential for his communication, personal records, and daily functioning, and the prolonged loss of access has caused significant hardship.
The purpose of this communication is to respectfully request that AOL unlock both accounts as soon as possible or provide a clear path for identity verification so he may regain access. We are fully prepared to provide any documentation or information needed to verify ownership.
