Don't give unnecessary "labels" to persons in the news
As a former U.S. Marine Corps officer, I am disgusted by the constant labeling of an apparent murderer as "Marine veteran" when he is referred to in the press. The label is not relevant to the case where this guy is accused of chokeholding to death a fellow passenger on a NY subway recently. Therefore, the label is unnecessary. Marines are not trained to murder innocent persons in combat (or elsewhere). In the news reports, I read that the victim had mental problems, was acting aggressively, but was not touching anyone. STOP THE POP-INS
Please stop popping the "In the Know" videos into the timeline. After the last update they pop-in and I can't advance or go back to the previous headline. I don't like not having control over what I look at. If I care to see the videos I will click on them like I have always done. Thanks.

Fix the comments section for news stories.
The programmers for the comments section have screwed it up royally. First, when I tried to see a response to my comment by clicking on the response in my notifications, I got a message that my comment doesn't exist. A little later, I tried again. Instead of taking me to the article on AOL, it took me to the original article on NBC. My comments aren't on NBC's website, they are on AOL's website. How am I supposed to see responses to my comments on a website where my comment aren't? Put it back the way it was.

This isnt good news, its brain rot. To build a viewing audience by telling them about jennifer annistons gray hair is idiotic. There is so much good information and knowledge that can be provided to your viewers, but instead of taking a chance, you choose to "give em what they want", which is sensationalism and cheap thrills, further dragging the country down.

Change mobile format for iphone
I hate the current mobile format. Difficult to read news without multiple steps. Top bar too small to click on with adult fingers. Prefer old mail format as well. I have been a n aol user for about 28 years. Hate to change but it is way to fussy to continue. Please give an option to use old formats. Contact me if ypu need a beta user

Why is AOL rejecting posts that do not go against their guidelines?
Either stop rejecting comments people post to news stories or give clear words that are not acceptable.
I never cuss or use profanity, threaten or use hate speech in any way yet l am constantly rejected, I notice if l use words like PC, WOKE or China the post is banned, sometimes l need to use these words depending on the news article.
Either post a list of words AOL will reject so we all know or start living up to the good old American 1st amendment rights of freedom of speech...25th ranked -
Allow people to ask that story comments be haulted if conversation overheated and potentially dangerous
There needs to be better monitoring of some of the story comments. Hate speech gets WAY out of hand in some of them and could be dangerous. We have enough fighting going on in our country. You all are getting to be just like FOX NEWS and just hyping the anger. Please set a "STOP" button so conversations can be halted and let people cool off.

What's with this new opening page where there is no brief synopsis of the news story. This new look is terrible.
This new page look is terrible. There is no brief synopsis of what the story is about, just the headline and a huge picture taking over the page. At least give us the option to go back to the old standard page we've had for years. I want news more than enlarged pictures
