2. I DO NOT LIKE THE NEW WAY MY MAIL IS DISPLAYED. IT IS NOT EASY TO READ. I AM USED TO THE OLD WAY, AND I AM VERY UNHAPPY WITH THIS NEW WAY.

   I would like to suggest that AOL explore creating an official AOL-branded Linux desktop operating system.

   AOL has a long history of bringing the Internet to everyday computer users. I believe there is an opportunity to bring that same philosophy into the modern Linux desktop market.

   The concept would be an easy-to-use Linux operating system based on Debian or Fedora, customized and branded by AOL. It could provide users with a simple, familiar desktop experience while integrating AOL services directly into the operating system.

   Possible features

   • AOL-branded desktop environment
   • AOL Mail integration
   • AOL News and other AOL services
   • AOL account integration
   • Easy software installation and updates
   • Modern security and privacy features
   • Optional KDE Plasma or GNOME desktop
   • Simple setup designed for people who are not Linux experts
   • Compatibility with older and modern PCs
   • Optional AOL technical and customer support

   Business opportunity

   This could also create new revenue opportunities for AOL through:

   • Premium technical support subscriptions
   • Paid customer and Linux technical support
   • Premium AOL services
   • Enterprise and business support
   • Partnerships with PC manufacturers
   • Pre-installation on affordable computers
   • Optional paid software and services

   AOL would not need to develop an operating system from scratch. Linux already provides the underlying technology, while AOL could focus on creating the user experience, services, branding, support, and ecosystem.

   I believe this could give AOL a unique position in the market: instead of simply being an Internet service and email brand, AOL could once again become a desktop computing platform.

   With Bending Spoons now responsible for AOL, this could also be an opportunity to rethink what AOL can become and introduce the brand to a new generation of computer users.

   I would encourage AOL's product and business leadership to seriously consider this concept.

   AOL Linux could be more than a Linux distribution—it could be a new generation of AOL Desktop.

   Some emails have really offensive wording in the subject box thus I must see that before I automatically delete such sick emails from people I do not know nor wish to know.

10. Sponsored ad opened fake virus warning

    I encountered a sponsored advertisement in my AOL Mail inbox on August 5, 2026, displayed under the name "Kethly Smith" and labeled "Ad."

    I intended to select the item using what appeared to be the checkbox on the left side of the row and report it as spam. Instead, clicking in that area immediately opened a webpage displaying fake virus/trojan warnings and a phone number to call for technical support.

    I did not call the number or download any software. After investigating, my computer was scanned with both Microsoft Defender and Malwarebytes, and no threats were found.

    My concern is that the advertisement appeared to make the left side of the row—including what looked like the checkbox area—behave as a clickable advertisement. Later the same day, other AOL Mail advertisements (Comcast Business and Xfinity) did not display checkboxes in the same location.

    I have screenshots of both the original advertisement and the later advertisements for comparison. I would appreciate it if you would investigate whether this advertising campaign or its click behavior could mislead users into unintentionally opening malicious content.

    Dear Editor,
    I am writing as an authorized representative of Seattle Thunderbolts regarding the following article:

    The article uses an archival photograph of Bodugum Akhilesh Reddy representing Seattle Thunderbolts during the 2022 Minor League Cricket season. The image prominently displays Seattle Thunderbolts and/or UST sponsor branding.
    The ICC proceedings reported in the article concern conduct during the 2025 Abu Dhabi T10. Neither Seattle Thunderbolts nor UST is named or implicated in the ICC announcement or sanction findings. The Thunderbolts photograph is from an unrelated team, competition and period.
    When displayed as the principal article image and social-media thumbnail without adequate context, the photograph creates an unintended and damaging association between Seattle Thunderbolts, UST and the misconduct described in the article. It is tarnishing brand for us and our sponsors i.e. UST.
    We respectfully request that you promptly:
    Replace the photograph with a neutral image, an ICC image, or an image relating to the 2025 Abu Dhabi T10/Aspin Stallions;
    Alternatively, crop or obscure the Seattle Thunderbolts and UST branding;
    If the photograph remains, add this clarification prominently to its caption:
    “File photo: Bodugum Akhilesh Reddy representing Seattle Thunderbolts during the 2022 Minor League Cricket season. The ICC offences concerned the 2025 Abu Dhabi T10. Neither Seattle Thunderbolts nor UST is named or implicated in the ICC proceedings.”

14. I pay for NO ADS. PLEASE remove the Ad panel connected to right of emails.

    Remove company ADS next to body of email!! I am receiving ads in the form of a panel to the right of open email body. It is a REPEAT of the logo etc of the sender's email. If I want to visit the sender's site I can clik a link or logo INSIDE the body of the email. THIS is redundant, shrinks the reading pane, and shifts the toggle arrows so, depending on which computer I am on, they shift or disappear. I pay for NO ADS and that should include THESE!!!

15. Do NOT Allow Scam/Spam ads in AOL Mail Inbox

    Today I was deleting emails from my Inbox and clicked on an Ad by mistake (there was a box in the row with the email boxes) It took me to a site that had all sorts of warnings pop up that my computer had been corrupted/taken over/Call this number/Don not shut down etc. It did freeze the screen so I shut down. This is ver dangerous for the unsuspecting person. I can not believe that the ads that AOL is allowing to go into the inbox feed are not scrutinized. I have a screen shot of the post from "Hobart Smith" but nowhere to attach or send it. This is very disturbing.

18. We need a wild card filter for spam auto block/delete. I'm getting way too many from *.*.*.nl

    AOL member names must have been hacked! I'm getting scores of spam emails all ending in domain '.nl'. It takes me forever to sort through them all and do delete or block senders.
    Can you allow us to enter filters with wildcards that will block certain domains? I've been using aol e-mails since the early days and don't want to change but I will soon have to make a switch.

20. Request to add Arial Font

    I used to have Arial as a font choice when writing emails. It does not have it as an option.

    Please add Arial font to the list of available fonts.
    I prefer to use it for my work emails- more professional than what is available.
