Click on aol mail app and go to mail
Every time I click on the aol mail app on my i phone it brings up the news feed, then I have to click on new mail to read my mail.

You can change this in settings like I did. Change to inbox instead of news on opening. Need a desktop computer. Cannot do through the app.
