When VERIZON had hold of our email we never got SPAM. I am getting an over abundance of SPAM and I am not happy about that. I have had my VERIZON.COM email for years. I am wairing for Doctors to send me info and all i get is constanct spam. I WILL NOT PAY AOL FOR THEM TO TAKE SPAM OUT OF MY INBOX. I NEVER DID WHEN VERIZON WAS HANDLING IT. SERIOIUSLY THINKING OF GETTING RID OF AOL AND VERIZON ALL TOGETHER. NO WAY TO TREAT CUSTOMERS. GET RID OF THE SPAM IN MY INBOX. I AM WAITING FOR DOCTORS TO CONTACT ME AND IF I MISS THERE EMAIL I WILL NOT BE HAPPY.

Design mail where the recipient can mark it "block" so it won't continue to generate the same mail over and over again. These are not spammers, they are scammers looking for suckers to open mail and submit payment for their illegal use. They are using real business names with fake and fictitious mailing addresses.

Fix your filters, fix your blocked sender capabilities. Neither of them work.

very tired of the multiple 'confirm receipt' from stores i have never been too and are not even in my area. no i didn't win anything from lowes, kholes, walmart, home depot, cvs, etc. also why are you allowing the 'man caught wife riding an15" african manhood, the secret to a 15" african manhood, squirting school, please your woman in bed, elongate your manhood with this secret', etc. and now it's 'your face book account has had an unrecognized.log in attempt' (lol, not even an account i ever had), your computer is at risk, you must order/reinstate macafee/norton now to prevent any potential destructive issues, your computer is now at risk, your protection has expired, camp lejune lawsuit will give you millions, paypal is giving you a reward, can't ****? we can help, got diarrhea issues? we can help' etc., etc. maybe try vetting these ridiculous ads better

Since the fall of 2022, my professional account with AOL has been LOADED with **** spam! This account only has my doctors on this and now I have had to filter through (this week) 666 spam emails!!! I used to have NONE on this account. My husband has Verizon and lately he has been receiving hundreds of smutty spam as well. Based on the conversations I have seen, AOL doesn't care and wants us to spend $$$$ to have a spam free account. Well, I am starting to switch over to GMAIL and so far, ZERO spam! So, AOL if you are listening (which I doubt you are) if many of us leave and go elsewhere, then what?

The volume of spam has become overwhelming. I'm going to have to abandon my AOL email account which I've had almost 30 years. I assume that every SPAM emial is also a SCAM email, if I were foolish enough to try to buy a product they are selling I would just have my money and identifying information stolen.

Despite having the "enhance contacts" option disabled, new "contacts" (notably everyone who spams me!) somehow appears in the autofill options when addressing emails. WHY? THESE SPAMMERS ARE NOT ON MY CONTACT LIST? How about also allowing the user to reject emails (as in they don't even make it to the spam box) if the subject lines include words like won, package, squirt and prize (just to name a few). It's a pity that modern technology has not yet caught up to what we had 25 years ago.

I want ALL blocked spam senders to BLOCKED PERMANENTLY! I spend at least 15 -20 mins per day "blocking" and "deleting" these emails and they CONTINUE to appear. WHY? Don't tell me to enter the full addresses in the block list. THAT IS A WASTE OF TIME, they just continue to come in, even when the addresses are marked "BLOCK SENDER" WHY? Is there an easy and permanent way to BLOCK them PERMANENTLY? There used to be a way to enter certain words that would enable AOL to block. Please, please, enable that process AGAIN!!! (I am 99% sure they originate w/ use of the FaceBook app, Thanks

This has all started with your AOL money program subscription to stop unwanted emails, which I have to delete every day.

Inundated with emails that start with 48488503. I have added a filter to block these, but the filters don't work.

AOL needs to be proactive by eliminating SPAM emails before they get to AOL email customers. Three steps can be taken by AOL to do this:
One, email addresses reported as sending SPAM emails by AOL customers will be blocked by AOL so that AOL email customers do not get these emails AT ALL. Further, these email addresses will be investigated to see if they are legitimate email addresses or not.
Two, new email addresses reported by AOL email customers will be investigated as to whether they are legitimate email addresses or not and also blocked from sending emails to AOL email customers.
Three, before any emails are received by AOL email customers, it will be determined if they are legitimate emails. In other words, if the email address and the "company" sending it do not match then the email will be stopped from reaching the AOL email customers' email addresses proactively. Many SPAM emails I have gotten in the past have been from these off-the-wall email addresses but look (if the subject line is looked at) like some "company" is trying to get you to update your information on a "legitimate" company's page, but it is not legitimate. Severale fake email addresses have tried to get me to renew my McAfee antivirus membership. Problem is, I don't use McAfee antivirus! ANd, the email addresses are all fake, not "@mcafee.com" email addresses. See my point? These emails can be easily stopped from getting to AOL customers' email addresses, inboxes, or SPAM folders. It is time for AOL to be proactive and block fake SPAM/phishing emails from being sent. This is a far better solution than having only contacts able to send emails, since if an email is sent from somebody new, it will be blocked if the AOL customer has their email set to receiving emails from contacts only.
If AOL implements these measures, AOL email will be much more pleasant to use. And yes, I have seen complaints. My ideas (maybe others have had them as well) can make AOL email better!

C'mon AOL. I receive over 200 spam emails every day. I have to pick through most of these just in case something of importance slipped through. You should be able to block the majority of these emails before they even arrive. The majority of other ISP's are able to, why not you?
