Allow filters to reroute emails to "NEW EMAIL"
Please allow filters to reroute emails to "NEW EMAIL" which are getting auto delivered to SPAM!!
Hi there. The more often you mark these emails as Not Spam, the more you train your personal mail filter to recognize them as wanted emails. Additionally, make sure these senders are added to your Contacts. If you need additional assistance, please contact us on Twitter at @AOLSupportHelp or on Facebook at our AOL Customer Care page. If you do not have a social media account, we are available at help.aol.com.
Thank you,
AOL team

I accidentally flagged, as spam, ONE of the emails I get daily from a service I have subscribed to for years. As a result, my account at that service was deleted, they tell me, because AOL reported back to them that they were spammers. The service is apparently required to delete whatever account is involved when they are notified of such an issue. Can AOL stop instantly over-reacting to my spam flags in this way and do only what I would expect of them: continue sending that sender's messages to spam until I correct the error (by my marking them as NOT spam). Instead, AOL went further and immediately reported a spam designation to the corresponding webmaster(s) - with irreversible consequences. At the very least, AOL should verify with me that I approve that additional step, which is supposed to be for my own "protection".

This is the third time I have had to do this. Emails from the same SAVED contact go into SPAM folder every week. Every week I say NOT SPAM. EVERY WEEK!!! These are from my church. It's a .org.

Today, 1-2-2026 is the second day my legitimate (had been receiving for years) emails are going into the Spam folder. This morning TWO-DAY old emails were in there.
AOL, can you please get a freaking grip on your email/spam system. It was going along nicely for the last two weeks and then, nope, the last todays it's putting normal emails in there.
Please fix this, it's been years!

You obviously changed something for the worse. 2 problems here - the spam filtering and my ability to create my own filters broken.

AOL is flagging mail from nbcnews.com and latimes.com as spam as of 1/1/2026.
I tried to create a filter to force delivery to my inbox for these, and I already have such filters from before. But now I can't create this filter because it doesn't allow me to specify Inbox as the destination folder. -

I find mail from the same saved email address every week in the SPAM folder. I hit "NOT SPAM" which puts it in my inbox. EVERY WEEK!

Legitimate emails are being blocked, but are Not in my blocked list. They just stopped coming through. I have advised AOL several times but no response

It is annoying to keep getting this message when the person has been in my contact list forever and your suggestion is to add the person to my contact list reset my password. How will resetting a password fix the problem. I should not have to jump through hoops to fix this problem

How do i top getting notification that "This message seems suspicious...
It could be from a legitimate sender, but there’s a chance it’s an attempt by a hacker to gain access to your system. Tap below to see a list of actions you can take." When it comes from someone who has been in my contact list from day 1. (forever) what is the easiest way to get that message to not come again for anyone in my contacts. -

I PAY QUITE A BIT FOR THIS SUBSCRIPTION AND AM THOROUGHLY DISGUSTED THAT NO MATTER WHAT I DO, I CAN'T GET THE WASHINGTON POST OUT OF SPAM AND INTO NEW MAIL SO THAT IT WILL FLOW TO MY OUTLOOK. I'M ONE OF THE UNFORTUNATE VERIZON.NET CUSTOMERS WHO GOT STUCK WITH AOL WHEN VERIZON SOLD OFF ITS EMAIL TO AOL.

Get rid of the spam filter, it is blocking important emails. If it is spam I will go in and delete it. I would rather do that than miss anymore emails.

Again, STOP marking my Informed Delivery as Spam.
Second time in 6 months you've done this.
Postmaster says YOU are the ones marking this as SPAM
STOP IT! -

I keeping getting mail marked as Spam that is not. In fact this week every piece of email marked as spam was NOT spam. So either AOL gives me a way to stop your spam filtering, or I am going to have to stop using AOL. There were important messages misdirected. Yes they were from email addresses not in my contact list, but that does NOT make them spam.
