UNUSUAL ACTIVITY AT SIGN IN NEED VERIFICATION
Stop the DAILY WE HAVE NOTICED UNUSUAL ACTIVITY VERIFICATION! I get this daily!! So sick of it. There's no UNUSUAL activity! It's me, it's always me.....my internet just changes where I get my signal on daily basis!
Hi. If there's something unusual about your sign in or recent activity, we'll ask you to go through another verification step after you've entered the correct password. This helps protect your account from unauthorized access. You may be prompted to get a verification code on your AOL app, recovery phone number, or recovery email address for any of the following reasons:
AOL notices suspicious account activity.
You're using an unfamiliar browser or device.
You're traveling away from your usual location.
You sign in while using a VPN or a proxy server.
You've logged in with a private or incognito window.
There are many attempts to sign in with incorrect passwords.
The "First time signing in from this device" message appears.
You've cleared your browser history or data cache including cookies.
We are sorry for the inconvenience this is causing you! If you need additional help, please contact us on Twitter at @AOLSupportHelp or on Facebook at our AOL Customer Care page. If you do not have a social media account, we are available at help.aol.com.
Thank you,
AOL team

your system no longer sends voice messages to my home number. It doesn't always send valid text messages to my cell phone. getting into my e-mail shouldn't be such a pain.

If you think my e-mail needs more security (I don't). We can create a secondary password. to use after my first password. Requesting and getting a validation code on a cell phone is a pain.

I don't use Facebook or X so how can I message you about not being able to turn off 2-step verification? Your Help instructions to disable this don't work because I never turned it on!

I agree, this verify option is a pain in the you know where! Stop it or I will change over to GMAIL and cancel my AOL accounts. Who's brilliant idea was this? You are aggravating long time users.

Around mid-April, when logging on, AOL Mail started placing a telephone call and asking for the 6-digit code from the automated message. We turned off "two-factor authentication" in Security Settings, but it still happens. There needs to be a way to totally disable this behavior, so that only an e-mail address and password is needed.

Quit using the "verify" feature when logging into AOL mail. It is rediculous to put your password in only to be asked to verify it.

This is ranked 1191st on your scale. It should be No. 1 cuz you will be losing customers if its not fixed ASAP

Fix the app back to the old way of signing in. IT WORKED. Now every time I sign in it says "If your seeing this message click Next. When you do your redirected to a start over page. This is unacceptable with the amount you pay for a service. It should be flawless. And by the way every time this happens if you go back to the home page and click mail you are signed in. Extra steps for nothing. You. should refund every member their money for not providing a service without bugs.

You are a tech organization. Certainly you can fix your insistence on two step sign in for email when it is clear that I have it turned OFF in my settings. This is infuriating. Robert Wood

verification codes are pointless. If I have the password I have all I need including a back up email

Why they have to force you to sign very often with a code?

If I know the password, then I do not need some BS verifying code

I hate having to constantly verify I am signing in. If this was a business, that may be a good thing, but this is just my home email.
