Remove check mark from stay signed in box on account sign in page
I see that you have put the check mark in the 'stay signed in' box on the account sign in page again. I do not want to stay signed in and I find it more than a little disturbing that you want to try to trick me into it. I take my online security seriously and would expect you to do the same. Why would you want me to stay signed in anyway? What's in it for you?

Change the default setting of the "Stay signed in" checkbox on AOL Mail to unchecked. Keeping the "Stay signed in" option checked can pose a security risk if you are using a shared device. It used to be unchecked.

I LIKE THE STAY SIGN IN - AND DON'T SEE WHY ANYONE WOULD THINK IT'S A TRICK & WHAT
THE BENEFITS TO YOU COULD POSIBILITY BE. THE X IS ON THE TOP OF THE PAGE TO LEAVE. IF A PERSON DOESN'T WANT TO STAY SIGNED IN - DON'T MARK THE BOX....SIMPLE.
I COULD COMPLAIN THAT THE X - IS THERE BECAUSE I DO WANT TO STAY SIGNED IN. I THINK THE PEOPLE COMPLAINING DON'T HAVE ENOUGH TO DO. CHILDISH. -

I AM REALLY ANGRY THAT AOL HAS MADE A DECISION FOR ME TO STAY SIGNED INTO AOL MAIL. THIS IS N*O*T SECURE. PEOPLE SHOULD BE ABLE TO MAKE UP THEIR OWN MINDS ABOUT THIS LAPSE IN SECURITY. SO WHEN I CLEAR MY HISTORY, EXIT, SIGN OUT, EXIT SAFARI, AND TURN OFF MY LAPTOP, MY AOL MAIL IS STILL "ON," BECAUSE THE BOX IS PRE-CHECKED WHEN I SIGNED IN?! THIS IS BY FAR ONE OF THE WORST SECURITY AND PRIVACY SITUATIONS. THINK OF ALL THE ONLINE SHOPPING, AND WHOOPS -- YOU THINK YOU ARE SIGNED OUT, AND ALL THE SCAMMERS, SPAMMERS, ETC., ARE GETTING INTO YOUR EMAIL AND ALL PURCHASE INFORMATION, WHILE YOU ARE SLEEPING.
IF SOME PEOPLE WANT TO BE LAZY ABOUT BEING ABLE TO STAY SIGNED IN, MAKE THEM CHECK THE BOX TO STAY SIGNED IN. I AM BETTING 90% OF PEOPLE DON'T WANT THIS. -

Why is AOL adapting to Yahoo mail navigations, which has had the stay sign in as default for many years? Since security is more of a problem, why is the default to stay sign in? If one wants to stay signed in they would click the box, so why make those that don't want to stay signed in have to UN-click the box every time. CONSIDER, many now days use a PC at the library, Senior Center, and similar to get access to the internet. If they miss the UN-Click, woe is them. Consider a re-evaluation of this "feature", which can be a BUG to a user.
