spam filter not working
I tag emails as spam and identical emails are still passed to my inbox. I create spam filters and emails with the indicated contents are still passed to my inbox. I can't block senders because spammers have figured out how to create single-use sending addresses.
I've tried calling your support number and all your rep wants to do is sell me a support contract before providing any assistance. I'm hoping that there is some way for you to provide the service you are supposed to provide without needing more money from me first.

Phishing emails - provision of dedicated AOL email address to forward
Phishing emails are on the rise, I get numerous such emails, not auto-directed to spam.
There used to be a specific email address that these could be forwarded to - emails sent now bounce back (aol.phish@abuse.aol.com).
AOL has a duty of care to users to assist in removal & follow-up of such phishing emails, especially as many of the email address are clearly "false" so a normal user will not have the ability to report / track down the provider.
Also, phishing emails often lead to identity theft, or financial fraud, if people do not easily recognise them.…945th ranked -

Reinstate shortcut 'x' for close window
My suggestions for Aol:
Reinstate shortcut 'x' to close an email (if only to extend the 'mouse-free experience' while navigating).
Allow images (esp. jpegs) to be attached again, rather than just inserted into the body of an email. It's a nuisance having to Zip them every time to make that happen.
Also, it was much better when the attachments were always visible at the head, rather than having to go to the very foot of an email to check them, or to even see if there is one. I sent plenty of "there was no attachment" replies before realising that…
