The new online email format starts with an advertisement looking like an email, to include a box to check to the left.
My main complaint: AOL is not checking what companies are allowed to place an ad in the new slot -- it is ALLOWING A PHISHING AD ONTO THAT SLOT. In checking the box alongside an ad this am, a Yahoo warning and phishing ad popped up. The source started with "smith..."
AOL's whole attempt to place a disguised ad at the top of email is simply "low-life" ("deceptive" I guess is a nicer word). I'm a paying AOL subscriber ... this is the first time in many years I am considering leaving AOL as it is putting $ over its customers.
