3. Bring back mail download decompress option.

   Bring back the Mail Download option of decompress YES/NO. By automatically decompressing your loose the file name of the original compressed file. This prohibits business tracking of the original transmitted file in its zipped/compressed file name and format.

   When saving an e mail into a folder, under prior versions, clicking the first letter for the desired folder took me to the location of the folder. Now, I have to do so manually. You should go back to the prior versions. It is simply easier to save or move files under the old versions of AOL.

5. Posting comments on AOL articles... Mouseover "like" count is now ridiculous!

   AOL responds to the feedback I posted with telling me how the new hover feature works. If they would have read my comment, they would have realized, I understand its function but hate it.

   Are you kidding me AOL? I told you about my experience. Did you even check out to see how annoying it is? Then you close the feedback so no one else can comment on it because you know 90+% of the feeback you are getting is entirely negative on the product. Pathetic!!!

   One more bad tick mark for AOL! Lack of caring for customer experience.

   Original Feedback:
   Mouseover "like" count is now ridiculous due to the sensitivity. Everyone uses a mouse for navigation. It used to be if you had to click on the "like" count to get the popup showing the screen names of those who liked a post. If you hovered over it, it didn't do anything. Now just dragging your mouse over it to get to another location on the page causes the "like" popup. This is extremely annoying. AOL makes changes when things aren't broken. How "non-customer in" is your software development team.

   My count down to save myself $$$ and leaving AOL has begun because of AOL Gold. AOL does not seem to have the skill level to fix the application to the level that should have included with it's initial implementation.

   AOL's response:
   If you hover your mouse over the number of likes a certain comment received, you can see the users who liked the comment.

   When hovering your mouse over the “like” button it merely highlights. Your “like” will be added once you click on it.

7. Allow all AOL.com mail free users to use the beta software

   As of January 24, 2017, you all have cut off letting free AOL mail users to beta test, use, and contribute to this beta program. I had all four of my screen names registered and set up to use this service and so did my mom. Mom and I have both been involved with your service in some form or another since we first signed up as paid dial up subscribers back in 1993. Remember that? That was back when AOL ran on DOS from a 3 and half inch floppy drive. Now, look how far you all have progressed. From paid slow dial up to having to offer many of your services free to broadband Internet subscribers or those who would soon as pay for cheaper dial up. Beginning with the former stand alone AOL Instant Messenger client to AOL Mail. But, you all had to do this in order to keep your brand name out there and then rely on advertising to pay the bills. Unfortunately, now broadband has managed to knock you all down so far that you had to go and merge with Verizon and Yahoo and now you all are discontinuing use of your beta software to free users. Although beta is meant to be a work in progress and not perfect by any means, you all allowing free users to use it meant that you all were also getting much valuable feedback from these free users, which meant that you all were able to fix many bugs before releasing this software as gold master to paid users. Now, you all have essentially gone and cut your own throats by cutting off use of your beta software to free users. Something that I feel is going to wind up being another in the string of many bad business decisions made by you all over the last 25 years. Technology changes with the times and you all must change with it to keep up or it will come back to bite you all in the rear. This was something that your former chairman Steve Case failed to realize and understand and it ended up coming back to bite him the in rear. This happen with your now sister property Yahoo also. Yahoo failed to realize the changes in technology to the point of where hackers compromised many of their free users' accounts which your former chairwoman Marissa Mayer tried her best to cover up and it ended up coming back to bite her in the rear end also. What I'm saying here is I know that the general idea behind all of this is to force free users into becoming paying subscribers, but as history has shown, these free users will eventually find another way to get by and when they do, that often times means that your brand name is no longer relevant to them any more and when that happens, guess what else happens? Your advertising revenue goes way down because people aren't using your service anymore. Any good marketing person will tell you that. So, if you all want to keep yourselves relevant on the Internet, then it's time to cut out this greedy idea of yours and restore access to your beta software to free mail users.

8. Please put Reject back on the aol chat rooms made by aol coustomer

   Chat rooms made by AOL customers use to have a Reject button so anyone they don't want in the room can be rejected.

13. It's no longer possible to "break" the blue bar when replying to quoted text. Just one more way Gold is inferior to previous versions.

    It used to be possible to add replies between lines of quoted text by pressing Enter, and a new line would open with no blue bar, but that doesn't work anymore. There is also no option anymore to use <<(text)>> to quote text instead of the blue bar. It's the blue bar, or nothing. Every day I discover more reasons to ditch AOL Gold and use some other email program. The new Gold is inferior in so many ways to earlier versions.

14. I am struggling with your new AOL Gold as items I used a lot, like being able to have the address book in my carousel tray to link quickly.

    I have been a loyal AOL member for over 20 years, much to the chagrin of many others telling me to get with it. I am struggling with your new AOL Gold as items I used a lot, like being able to have the address book at top of page to use link quickly as I use it a LOT in my work (real estate). Now I have to go to mail, and hit Address to get to the addresses. It takes more time now than before. I also like just having a "send" file, not have it clutter my incoming emails. I may have to drop AOL after all these years and go to Gmail which is Free and has a lot of features that I can use quickly. The new AOL is not as improved as you may think. Why don't you allow subscribers, now paying $29.99 per month ! what they like and wish to keep versus just changing it, and now the prior AOL doesn't work. Fix it or lose me after 20+ years.

    all tech support wants to blame problems with gold on users computers - standard scripted solutions , reload gold , restart , clear cache , clear cookies , reset location , + etc. - NONE work to cure problems that are built into gold by AOL by amateur + incompetent programmers - AOL does not listen or do anything about ALL the topics posted on this forum - ignorant of long time paid subscribers - AOL is thumbing their nose at all longtime loyal users !

20. Maximize all, Print button, Personalized Welcome page.

    There should be an option to have all the windows like read, write, favorites, news to open up automatically in full screen when opening AOL.
    The print icon on the top right bar that appeared on each page was very useful -please put it back!
    I want to change the welcome page of AOL to Huffington post - Black Voices like it was before in order to open automatically when
    I started Aol but all I managed to do is to make it a homepage that I have to click on each time.
