welcome screen + biased AOL defaults
been months now + users can not set their preferences for topics on welcome screen - topics automatically default to useless , biased , outdated , + uninteresting AOL preferences , not the users !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PROGRAM DEVELOPERS: Every time there is an "upgrade" the aol system gets more and more un-user friendly, difficult and time consuming to do anything in the system. Here are some examples. 1) I used images in my emails routinely before aol gold came out. Now i sadly tend not to use images, because they won't stay on the same line i place them them on, but rather go to the left on the line below and then i have to re-size, cut and paste them back into the line i wanted them on (and even then sometimes they disappear altogether!)…

I HATE that you have to log on to do anything in the new AOL!
Bring back off-line access to contacts, etc.

Why have you made :Favoite Places" so complicated? I like that it is alphabetized but it is no longer easy to add a new site.
In the past it was a no brainer to add a favorite place: just click on the heart and voila it was done. Now you have a :procedure that it totally unnecessary and for me who is only vaguely computer literate you have created unnecessary work. I know this comment will elicit a response but is unlikely to effect any change

I really, really miss the TEXT window FILE-NEW-TEXT on my desktop. I cain't save nuthin'! Bring it back please!
I used to be able to open a TEXT window after going to FILE-NEW on my AOL desktop. Now it's gone and it's the pits. To save a story, tip, or recipe now I have to open another program to save it. AOL, you're making my life way more difficult!

Red underlines in email
In email, words are still underlined in red that I've added to Spellcheck previously. Please have the underline deleted once the word has been placed in Spellcheck. Thanks.

Unbelieveable!
I don't know what the heck is going on there. I try to get a story on Queen Elizabeth and I get something about giraffes. Several times in the past I've tried to look at a story, but a different one showed up. I'm beginning to think that you folks could louse up a two car funeral.

- Picture finer the way it used to be.

It used to have a place where you could writer a letter on your email with cute patterns to choose from and send a post card for any occasion on your email. This was such a time saver for me and now it's GONE!!!! These things were under EXTRAS. Now the EXTRAS is void of everything I liked!!

The envelope icons just mean mail. The envelope items with the little darker box at the right are emails that have images (pictures or graphics) in them. I'm not sure but if there is a link in the email, you may also get the icon with the little darker box.

VERY WEIRD Result writing an email, with underscore character ("_")
While entering an Underscore as part of a file name in an email
(I.E. under_in-middle.pdf) the underscore did not show?! ... I copy/pasted that string elsewhere and it did display !!??I tested many underscores on a blank line in the same email - and they ALL SHOWED!?!
ONLY in that one section where I could not get the underscore to show, even copy/paste of an underscore in another line to that one
spot, it would not show?! -
We pay a LOT of money, monthly, for AOL Gold. Look at all the posts opposing your introducing it BEFORE it was ready!!
Every day brings a new, and disturbing, revelation of how bad AOL Gold is functioning. Dropped signatures, misfiled emails, slow opening, etc., etc. Gold should have been tested much longer before implementing, as most of us long-time AOL subscribers (24 Years!!) are frustrated with it. Tech support is practically non-existent unless you have long patience.
