I don't like to have to download Adobe to play games.
I want to play the free games that AOL offers, but I do not want to download Adobe in order to do it. There should be an automatic connection to Adobe Flash Player when I click on the Games icon. I'm 79 years old and I tried to get the Player, but the questions, the criteria, the method were all so complicated that I just gave up. latest version of aol desktop gold
Latest version of aol desktop gold seems to have aol work worst than in the past. Here is what I have noticed when using aol desktop gold running on an amd phenom ll dual core cpu.
1) when signing into aol desktop gold, the software crashes twice in a row. Have to end aol with the task manager
2) aol mail seems to be off by not displaying today's email, instead the email goes back a week.
3) aol seems to take up more ram then it did. The amount now is around 400 to 700 mb of ramOnce…

Updating AOL Gold software
It seems that AOL Gold checks for updates every time I run it. That's fine, but could you enhance the updating process please: 1) If you find that an update is available BUT NOT REQUIRED TO FIX A CRITICAL DEFECT, ask the user whether to update "now" or not. Updating takes a long time and prevents a quick check of email. 2) During an update, display a message or window somewhere indicating an update is in progress. I clicked on a story about a family that heard hissing in it's walls. Why did you give me stories about spiders and volcanoes first?
Again there was a long drawn-out story that had nothing to do with the original headline about a family hearing a hissing noise in their walls. News for you, AOL - it's a waste of your time doing that because all I do is scroll through them as quickly as possible until I get to where I should have been in the first place.

AOL Does Not Offer Solutions to Bug or Feedback Reports.
From March 14th and going forward, I have submitted:
- Two Bug reports.
- Two Feedback reports. (One response requested more information, which I supplied.)
- Contacted AOL via phone twice. (They were of no help.)
When can I expect to receive a solution to the reports mentioned in the above contacts?
I use AOL Gold and Windows 10.

Provide AOL Desktop for macOS Catalina
AOL Desktop Gold needs to add support for macOS Catalina and future releases. The laptop world is not all Windows users. Telling Apple Mac users to "use browser access" is not a good response.

I would like to use AOL chats on my devices, but as of now, you allow neither Linux computers, nor Android tablets to do so. You don't presently allow it, but that's really up to you, isn't it? Would you please accommodate it?

Keeping AOL update with the Times
Well we have been with AOL for Years. Now you charge to use it. I can't log in to my bank Account with AOL. I have to use Google chrome to log in now. I call the Bank Support they said AOL is so old that your not keeping up with your updating your Software. So we pay so start keeping up with the TIMES.. So I'll give you guys a little time to fix this problem or i'am to change.Microsoft Explorer. Thank You

Sluggish AOL Gold - the Answer
I recently found AOL email inboxes and sent boxes taking for ever to open and generally sluggish, The problem was caused by me having masses of previous emails still held in the system. I created new in and sent folders for my old emails and transferred the old emails to the new folders. It took time. An alternative would be to delete the old in and sent emails if unwanted. My current email folders now work most efficiently and I get instant access.. So the fault was mine and not AOL's.

Background color changing
Allow for "night mode" on AOL Desktop Gold, had eye surgery and its hard to see the black font against white background. I wish there was a way to change the colors so I can view and see better.

Using AOL Help Page is Useless
Using AOL Help Page is Useless
Using the listings on the Help page are hopeless. When trying to look up exact words listed on your webpage or words listed in your toolbar and elsewhere, an unmanageable list appears. They are not in any type of order or group. The Search option is useless.
For example, when I tried looking up Toolbar – Quick View, I finally stopped after going through 10 pages.

Why do I have to keep refreshing comments in conversations. works for for about 2 minutes and then I have to refresh to see more?
