Updating AOL Gold software
It seems that AOL Gold checks for updates every time I run it. That's fine, but could you enhance the updating process please: 1) If you find that an update is available BUT NOT REQUIRED TO FIX A CRITICAL DEFECT, ask the user whether to update "now" or not. Updating takes a long time and prevents a quick check of email. 2) During an update, display a message or window somewhere indicating an update is in progress. Otherwise we have no idea why things are so slow. 3) When a user chooses to "Check for Updates" from the Help menu, display something saying the program is doing so, and a message indicating the result (e.g. "no update needed" or "update available - do you want to update?", etc.) Currently there is no indication that the program is doing anything, so users have no clue.
