I've uninstalled and reinstalled app. inbox showing wrong number of emails. Deleted emails not showing up in trash. Therefore tapping trash

I've uninstalled and reinstalled app. inbox showing wrong number of emails. Deleted emails not showing up in trash. After tapping trash can, trash can does nothing or disappear.
