Why aren’t my spam emails dropping out after 30 days. So annoying

My AOL inbox lists emails received in the previous 3-5 hours, and then skips to yesterday and earlier. I called an (AOL?) number and was told that my account was blocked due to "suspicious activity" and could only be unblocked if I purchased some protection package for $250. I guess this ends a 30+ year relationship with AOL as I will tell my correspondents to send all mail to my Gmail address.

I get about 120-150 spam emails each day. They come to my spam folder and I appreciate that it’s not in my inbox ox, however I have to wonder why there so much! Does AOL give my email addresses (same issue with multiple accounts) out to spammers or sell them? Seems AOL would have a way to limit the amount of t of spam.

It is more than obvious, after spending over $15 a month, you could care less on how much spam we are getting, To add insult to injury, half the time the spam folder shows -0- then you open it and find 10 or more and building. Not to mention the vulgarity of the majority. Member since 1993 and you can't get much lower in my estimation than you are now.

EVEN using the antiquated, outdated, & ineffective filters does not control any of this sick pornographic sexual content spam! I WANT ALL SEXUAL CONTENT EMAILS BLOCKED, DELETED, OR PERMENTLY STOPPED FROM GETTING INTO ANY OF MY INBOXES!!!!

I second this, big time! Engaged, Christian woman - I am getting extremely sick and tired of my spam box being filled with pornographic, inappropriate, sexual content.

I'm so fed-up now with the emails. Recently there has been an explosion of **** emails, scams, and spam that cant even be blocked. Another thing my good mail is now going to my spam box with all the garbage I just listed and all the **** is going to my inbox. Its absolutely looks deliberate.

Every day, my Spam folder is full of ******* looking to make money. Looks like AOL pushing ****.

There needs to be a filter that will stop all sexually explicit words. Unfortunately you can only limit an email address but that does not work because companies are using computers to keep sending dirty emails from different made up email address. I have over 700+ blocked emails and they just keep coming. AOL need a filter that you can limit any emails coming with certain words attached to it.

so much spam in both inbox and spam folders. I get more spam in AOL in a week than I do with Yahoo and Gmail combined all year. one would figure since Yahoo owns AOL, there would be better mail services.
