I can’t open my emails

With the latest IPad app update, my mail comes in fine but when I try to open them it closes the App, every time. The software level on my iPad 3 is iOS 9.3.5 which is supposed to be compatible.

    I've tried all day yesterday to open & read my emails,but it won't let me. As soon as I try it closes & shuts me out. WHATS WRONG?

    I am experiencing the same problem on my iPad. I recieve email but cannot open them. Returns to main iPad screen. Have tried rebooting and reinstalling app. I have an important email which I need to access by weekend!

    After the most recent (9/3/18) update, the app crashes every time I try to open email. Uninstalled, reinstalled app, reboot tablet, all with no remedy. Based on the comments from other users, looks like AOL has epic fail on most recent update: no ones's email is functioning.

    I am experiencing the same problem as many of the commenters I see. When I tap to open an email message the app closes. It worked fine until today. How do I fix it?

    Starting today, I am experiencing the same problem as many others have reported: the app opens up, I see messages come in via the "banner" when the screen is inactive, but when Open the app on my iPad mini2 and try and open an email, the app closes out! Very frustrating. Had to go online on a different computer and sign in to read my emails all day! Please advise of what I should do to use my app.

    When I click on an email to open, it closes the app. Nothing will open. I am on an iPad 3.

    When I try to open an email, the app crashes and closes completely. Started today. iPad mini, iOS version 9.3.5. Based on the comments, looks like a widespread issue. Please fix!

    Every time I try to open an email the app shuts down tried deleting and reinstalling but still the same problem. It was fine this morning

    Same here, I can open aol, see mail items but when I tap to open one of the emails I am thrown out of AOL back to my main iPad home screen. I can read my AOL emails on my other device.
