Just adding my 2 cents to this thread. I am very annoyed by having to sign in multiple times a day. Have used AOL since 1995. Hate the thought of changing but may be forced to since I can’t seem to find information on how to fix this.

The change is irritating. Why make someone sign in every time they open the app?

I always thought AOL was the best. I’ve been a member since 2002 and this is the worst service I’ve ever had. Every time I want to read my mail I have to sign in and it gets VERY ANNOYING!! AOL offers free email addresses but I still have to pay and my services are very poor these days. On top of signing in all the time I’m getting double emails (same email back to back). I’m getting tons of ***** enhancement emails and I’m a female. I can’t do a live chat or email and I don’t have time to wait on the line because I have work to do. Gmail is looking very good right about now. I feel as though I’m paying to be harassed, sexually through AOL Mail. SHAMEFUL!!!!!

Trying to check my email and app keeps closing and screen going black and I have to re- sign in over and over. I deleted the APP and restarted my
Phone multiple times and it is still doing this. Anyone who can help, let me know. Is it because I have too many messages. I’m unable to read my messages and delete because it closes right after opening. Is this a virus? I have Apple I phone XR and it’s up to date. -

To avoid having to manually log in to read your AOL mail on an iPhone (sounds complicated, but after you have done it a few times, it only takes a couple of seconds): 1) Tap the gear-like symbol on the very lower right of the blue screen, 2) Tap “Manage Accounts”, 3) Tap to the left of the white dot and wait two seconds, 4) Tap to the right of the white dot. 5) Use your thumb print to sign in (I have an older iPhone), 6) Select the arrow on the upper left of the screen to return to the settings page. Finally, 7) Tap the mail icon in the lower left corner of the screen to open your mail. I hope that helps. (Under my iPhone “Settings”, “Touch ID & Passcode”, I have “Password AutoFill” turned on.)
