I have talked with AOL tech support three times since September 6 and been told to delete AOL app and reinstall the app. I have done this numerous times and it still is requesting my user name and password. AOL tech told me today they may try to do something about it the next time an update is done. I told him people have been complaining about this on here for over two months. No comment. So much for AOL support. No solution to this!!!!

I have the same problem. I found a slightly less annoying work around. For iPhone, Go into settings and turn the account off, wait for the message to disappear, then turn the account back on. Now if I go back to mail it will, eventually, bring up my messages.

Same as below. It’s annoying and at times I have to sign in twice. Fix the app— I’m migrating ASAP to a normal app. And Verizon don’t think I forget you landed me here. Hate this app!!!!

What’s the story AOL?? No problem getting my mail, just tapped icon and bang.... there’s my e-mails. Now... all of a sudden I have to sign/log in “every” time. Annoying, time consuming and aggravating. Is it that i have to pay for this service all of a sudden?? No ☹️

Unable to get aol mail to stably work with iOS mail, outlook for iOS, mail for macOS or mail for windows10. Works for a while then breaks down again, unbelievable. No patience to constantly work on this. Problem well documented in hundreds of different posts. Do you want everybody to switch to your app? Nope. Another customer on his way out!!! Get your act together for god’s sake. No issues with outlook365, exchange or gmail. Don’t pretend this is not aol’s problem (or misgiven strategy?).

AOL has become the worst software provider. 1000’s of users have been complaining about this for MONTHS and they ignore the bug. Apparently, they’d prefer we all leave for a much more competent provider.

Having to continuously sign in is not only stupid and time consuming, but just shows how technically bad AOL is. AOL has proven that they give the worst service and lack of care for their customers.
AOL is Verizon but neither will own up to it. -

Yes LOL was down for me on my computers today as well as my iPhone. My AOL account was working fine without any changes until today now I’m having the same problem many others are having having to sign in every single time instead of it being automatically signed into. AOL has always been terrible and as mentioned by others it is worse now. I think it may have something to do with the merger and then going to consolidate the two different companies. I would recommend any buddy that can switch to another provider do so because AOL is not going to change it’s been that way for the 35 years I’ve been using it. I may have to make a decision I’ve been regretting of changing to another email provider and I have hundreds of accounts linked with my AOL account so it’s going to be a nightmare for me to switched. But I guess it’s going to have to be done.

My account is down since 11/1/18. Told to go to AP and update; however, no update available. Tap continue and get message server not found. What’s going on?
