For years I've accessed my aol email thru my iPhone.
After receiving the 'better access thru aol app,' I followed your instructions.
What a waste of time! And when I finally get in to check my messages, I'm BOMBARDED with ads, news, all kinds of **** I didn't ask for!

My phone's email system still work even after AOL said it wouldn't after October 20 and forced me to their app which is terrible. It doesn't update your mail and is filled with advertisements. This is just another liberal approach by AOL to control what they want you to see. AOL you lied about the app just like so many things you post are lies. Worse, your app doesn't even work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I removed my mail app from iphone and put this piece of **** on. Thank God I didn’t remove it from my ipad, as new mail NEVER comes up at first on any if my 4 aol accounts without opening and closing them several times. Today for example I still have gotten zero emails on this app, yet have had about a dozen that I got on my ipad. Next, I hate having one of your stupid ads being the top email on any if my 4 applications, and even when deleted they come back. Third, on the main screen you have an indicator notification that i have email, but then i have to go to each of the 4 accounts and they frequently don’t show up on any of them. Lastly, and most irritating, you have to open each address individually to get the emails on them, unlike ios which integrates them all on the same page. It’s this kind of **** that makes me lean towards agreeing with the feds that you guys have way too much monopoly power! I’ve enjoyed AOL for at least 20 years, but this forced app really sucks!

Assign all advertisements under a specific category like "inbox" except list category as "advertisements". This would make it much easier for users as many do not like the way its set up now.

I never got amazon ad emails until I added the aol app. Now it’s an ad every hour-as often as I delete them another pops up. How do I block this?

From the top of our inbox! And stop placing ads at the top of our mailbox then pretending like we have a new email by sending a notification alert each time you place a new ad. Terrible. Won’t be using my AOL email account until this is changed.

STOP populating ADS on paid accounts. Really. If I wanted to see a bunch of advertisements, I would just use the Free aol or I'd go to Facebook. I've had this account for decades and don't really want to let it go, but all these changes are frustrating and not in the best interest of the user. I've tried calling the AOL number to have someone help step me through setting up my IOS devices for the new changes, to no avail. Also, you can't get 'AOL apps' on a iMac desktop or laptop.

If you think this is an improvement you are crazy!! Where do you come off dumping commercials in my mail!!
I have been with AOL from the start. Either change me back to the previous system or I am leaving AOL.
Thank you,

To get more eyes on the ads you sell advertising and raise revenues. I have secure VPN and do not need AOL security. I hate the mail.aol.com setup and will probably go to gmail. Being coerced into using mail.aol.com and especially your awful AOL for iPad is torture.
