Nice App, but one big glitch ...
I have been an AOL user for 27 years (since it was a Macintosh User Group accessed by dial-up modem). Just downloaded the new app and have tested it heavily the past 2 days.
Overall, quite functional and intuitive. I’m using an iPhone 8. But there is one big glitch, which needs to be fixed.
When I click email links from companies whose apps are installed on my phone, the AOL app fails to launch the apps! My “old” email program ALWAYS opens the apps that correspond with my email links. This is a fundamental function for a smart phone—knowing how to integrate links and apps.
Hope this is fixed sooner rather than later!
I have a couple of troubleshooting steps for you that should resolve this issue:
1. If you’re signed in, tap the Settings icon, tap Manage Accounts, then tap Edit, tap Remove
2. Restart your mobile device
3. Uninstall and reinstall the app with the latest version
4. Lastly, switch the internet connection from WiFi to mobile data
