fix the errors in your articles
The report about the 3 police officers shot by a murder suspect was linked with an incorrect headline, having incorrect or misleading information being often a common occurrence.
The larger "Kansas City" is in Missouri where the described incident was.
Here's a suggestion. Try re-reading, and fact checking your news articles.

“Two San Diego, California teens who took a day trip to Mexico to visit a friend last Friday were found dead in a Tijuana apartment Sunday morning in what is being investigated as a triple homicide.”
Your “editors,” if they ever passed 8th-grade English, should know that a comma must follow “California” in the above sentence. Technically, it is a specifying phrase—basically, parenthetical. Your “editors,” I hope, would not punctuate the foregoing sentence thus:
“Two San Diego (California teens who took a day trip to Mexico to visit a friend last Friday. . . .”
And then there is this:
“ ‘But he was the most selfless, kindest boy ever … This shouldn’t have happened to him.’ ”
Your “editors” need to place FOUR dots, not three, in an ellipsis that ends a sentence—a period plus the usual three dots. It should look like this (and notice the spaces between dots):
“ ‘But he was the most selfless, kindest boy ever. . . . This shouldn’t have happened to him.’ ”

Today's headlines: "Cheap item at Costco is a actually a completely scam." What is this? You need an editor, for sure.

First of all hire some educated journalists
Secondly I suggest that perhaps your might hire some proofreaders.
Thirdly, quit biased reporting.

I find typos and misspellings in the AOL articles a lot. It's not that tough to proofread before sending a piece out into the world!

The very WORST news feature imaginable. GROSS misspellings and grammatical errors even in the headlines and seemingly in every other sentence. Disgusting pictures of animals and people that would turn even the strongest stomachs, articles that are recycled for literally YEARS, teaser pictures that don't relate to the articles they precede, embedded videos that don't relate to the articles in which they are embedded, stupid teasers that lead to clickbait features that NEVER get to the point. If I wanted to deliberately design the very WORST news possible you would have me outdone. Please hire some people who speak the English language, know how to spell, to use spell/grammar checker and who have some TASTE and INTELLIGENCE. You're scraping the bottom of the barrel. I may have to suck up to changing my email address and just LEAVE AOL!

The caption of your video from "Inside Edition" on the front page today about the limousine accident in *Upstate* N.Y.; you incorrectly use the abbreviation "NYC" for "New York City," but it didn't happen anywhere near NYC. New York City is *not* New York State!!!!

A journalist who doesn't know the difference between "their" and "there"? A news site that does no proof reading? Pathetic and annoying to read.

I have written on this subject before and there has been no improvement that I can see. Today's example of terrible spelling / grammar is the lead-in to the headline titled ... "Reason man refuses to sell his rustic cabin for $1.8M". The lead-in caption says ... "The scared value of his tiny cabin ...". In the article itself, Suzi Marsh refers to the "sacred" nature of the location at least 3 times, so she clearly understands the use of the word. However, no one, maybe the author included, doesn't care enough to proof read the headline before it goes "to print", or to "the web" in this case.
In my opinion, AOL has no concern for journalistic quality and is, instead, more interested in cheap, sensational headlines that grab the interest of slow minded skeptics. SHAME ON YOU AOL! -

Here's an idea: could there ever be any proofreading of anything ever? It's like watching a stutterer give a speech.

Not only is it blatantly improper or INCORRECT GRAMMAR, but, it is just plain stupid of your so-called "writers" or "journalists" to write something like this: .....Kate & William "want their children to have as normal OF a childhood as possible....". Duh!!!!! The word "OF" does not belong in that sentence, AT ALL!!!!! No if's, and's, or but's.
So, HOW in the **** did your ******* "writers"/"journalists" supposedly become "Qualified" & "Competent" enough to "write" for AOL's news page? Apparently, AOL pulled some yo-yos off the street, and asked if they'd like to "Write" stories for AOL. You people consistently irritate the **** out of me with your PATHETIC attempt at "Writing". Take that money that your grandmother gave you for graduating from elementary school, and go take some WRITING COURSES, or stay the **** out of the true WRITING business. YOU **** THE BIG ONE!!!!!
