Really?? Never will see the good news on AOL??
It just doesn't get any better. Longest stretch (8 quarters) in history of consecutively-increasing year/year % growth (by quarter) in real GDP.

You never will on AOL.

I agree. The President donated his salary to the VA to be used in maintaining the graves of veterans. I did not see that headline on the AOL home page.
Jeffrey Saut, chief investment strategist at Raymond James made two very critical observations recently that are likely to reverberate going forward. One, the stock market just made a positive move that has not happened since 1958, the same year that NASA was born and President Dwight Eisenhower, a Republican, was in the White House. Two, Democrats are likely to fail in their effort to retake the Senate and may even fall short in the House this fall.
What a great lead story this would be -- definitely getting lots of folks to click through.
Oh yeah, AOL doesn't positive, upbeat, the-economy-is-great stories.

Checked the AOL headlines -- nothing reads "3.9 % - lowest unemployment in a decade".
Or perhaps "GDP breaks through 4%; target 3% for full year 2018"
C'mon AOL -- let's share the good news.

The Fed reported today "the labor market has continued to strengthen and economic activity has been rising at a strong rate. Job gains have been strong, on average, in recent months, and the unemployment rate has stayed low. Household spending and business fixed investment have grown strongly." We are doing fine --
