How can we improve the AOL app?

Recently I started receiving a lot of spam, some are very nasty. How can I stop this?

Hi there,

While most spam should be caught by our Spam filters, occasionally some can slip through. If that does happen it's very important to mark the email as Spam. It lets our system learn that messages from a specific place are not good and helps us make AOL Mail even better at recognizing future spam emails. Additionally, you can create filters to send specific emails to Trash, on the webmail at mail.aol.com and they will work while on the app as well.     Please stop letting through unfiltered spam and scam from the USA. I do not live there and I am sick and tired of having to clear it out several times a day.

    I now consider this harassment by these senders. I never subscribed to these or asked for any information from them. I can’t even delete them fast enough. It’s amazing how, nevermind WHY, these keep getting through, especially when most of them are from fake sites. And they keep multiplying and getting worse.

    My spam email is multiplying every day by the hundreds!! There are usually more than a few duplicates and also different varieties of the same ones every single day. All they do is change the wording or a few letters in the headings. Can you at least stop the spam email duplicates?!! How about stopping the same ones that come through as spam EVERY SINGLE DAY after the first month/week/few days?!! I have tried unsubscribing (when possible!), I tried replying, sending back emails…nothing works. Most are fake websites. They are listed as “unsafe sites” by my security engine. The worst right now are “Camp Lejeune” emails and have many different headings, which are fake. They are coming to my aol spam box and some being addressed to me using my old AIM.COM email, too. I am drowning in them!

    I get dozens and dozens of spam from the USA every day I don’t even live in the USA please improve the spam filters to stop this

    Still to many spam getting through YOUR spam filter and they’re OBVIOUS spam. FIX IT!!!!

    If GMAIL can filter spam then so can AOL.

    This didn’t use to happen. Now it continues to block even after I’ve said “not spam” and put email directly in AOL contacts.

    I understand that it is not possible to determine r everything that is spam. I do think that when it spam that purports to be from AOL and it is going to cancel my email if I don’t click on the link, you could spot, block, and — perhaps — even permanently block the sender. Fortunately, I recognize it as spam and haven’t made the mistake of clicking on the link. I would suggest that this is worthy of your attention. Thank you.

    SPAM Wholly unacceptable attitude to SPAM. We don’t want it caught in SPAM folders we want it stopped at source. Please will someone do something about it. I am currently getting 50+ SPAM messages a day. All of which need to be checked for valid emails. Wholly unacceptable.

    Despite sending multiple requests for support on the subject of SPAM, no assistance is forthcoming
    Why will you not do something about it.
    I don’t want an email telling me my idea has been added to the many other subscribers complaining about it.
    I want an answer to the question from someone who has the authority to act but is failing to do so.

    SPAM everyday . Sort it out
    Everyone is moaning and AOL do nothing
