Allow setting to default to inbox when opening app
I use AOL app primarily for mail. Until a few days ago, the app opened directly to my inbox. Now it suddenly opens to the Home tab, and I can’t find any way to set it to my preference.

I only use the app for mail. I like it more than my other email accounts so was willing to put up with ads. Now it defaults to a very cluttered click bait newsfeed that quite frankly stresses me out. I am tired of being constantly bombarded by toxic news. I use other sites when wanting news. Tried to figure out how to change news settings but it’s not an option. It’s the first time I have thought about leaving the app. People already make fun of me for still using it. I only stayed because the app was familiar. Now it’s annoying. Would probably pay a fee to close that news tab. If not, I will start using my gmail account for everything

I have been with AOL for years and years, but I am seriously looking into switching over to another server. There are several reasons for this (one being that you don’t listen to your clients), but the main one now, is that I don’t like how you control what I see in your app. I already have apps for the news, so I don’t need to see a news page when I just want to read my emails. Also, the news on your main page are not the news I want to read. AOL is supposed to be AOL MAIL, not AOL NEWS! I also don’t like that you always add your invitation to join the “new” AOL app, when it isn’t even new! All I want at the bottom of my emails is my signature.

I’ve been checking in every few months to see if you’ve fixed this. You haven’t. All of these votes and pages are calling for this change. Slowly transitioning away from AOL now. The end is near.

This is ridiculous. It’s been months and you don’t listen to your customers. WE DO NOT CONSENT TO YOUR LIBERAL NEWS FEED BEING SHOVED DOWN OUR THROATS. Get rid of the news. You’ve already lost a great deal of customers. Do you want to completely shut down???

I’ve just figured out that AOL now stands for All Out Liberal News. Don’t you realize when your news is so blatantly biased to one side, it becomes white noise to your readers. Please go back to being an email provider rather than attempting to sway an election. We love your email service but not your news feed. Thank you.

I’m deactivating my accounts and will actively market against your company. It has been months since this issue was brought to light and absolutely nothing has been done.

If you are going to force a politically divided country into your news feed every time we want to use your email service, why not have your news feed be more fair and balanced instead of being 100% left/liberal?

Make MAIL the FIRST place to see as the HOME!! Home should always be MAIL!!

This is really bad, y'all. The news is not a safe place for anyone and shouldn't be forced at people who can't consent. This is wrong.

If you don't undo this senseless setting, I'll open my mails exclusively via Apple's mobile app.

No long story here. Switch it back to default to mail inbox soon or I am switching my email account to Gmail.

Default to home page is annoying. I only use this app because Verizon outsourced their email service. And now it keeps switching back to the home page without my input. Change it back, please.

I now use Yahoo to read my AOL mail. No more AOL news.

There’s no way to change this
I do not want to see news headlines when I open my email
We are bombarded by this **** everywhere now
You’re trying to make more money from ads when people click on those stories. Sick of it -

Well, Since I'm not the only one with the issue and it seems you guys AOL doesn't wanna change that because next year is that terrible time of presidential elections and you need to sell your division-people agenda by making people watch those useless news about useless politicians, my app is gone... Thanks for nothing!

It’s been weeks. It only takes a day to forward everything to a new email carrier. Hop to it. Chop chop. Your feedback is gathered.
