Give back the old version please.
I'm having a terrible time with the new format in email. Can I please have the old format back? Please! Please!

The Advanced Search is gone? I can no longer:
- Search selected folders
- Search based on date ranges
- Search based on the presence of attachments or imagesThe total number of new emails is no longer reported. It just says 999+. That's not helpful as I endeavor to reduce the emails. I can no longer see the progress I'm making.
Please bring back the old interface. Im sure the searches were more efficient when I was able to use alternate keys such as dates, sender instead of being unable to specify search terms.

Change for the sake of change isn't good. Everything was working fine. Bring it back.

One can no longer populate the "To:" block of an email with addressees from an established group. The loss of features such as changing font is annoying and inhibits one ability to infuse a message with nuanced emphasis or humor, but to lose core functionality such as email GROUPS is intolerable! wwd

I can no longer manage contacts. Delete does not work. And it is impossible to include an existing contact into a an existing mail group.

The new format is just plain rubbish.
I type an email, it can't find my contacts. It has completely forgotten my groups.
I search for old emails it only brings up 20 at a time and I can't scroll down.
I can't open the emails in a separate window.
It doesn't update automatically. I have to refresh the screen every time.
It makes no noise to alert me when an email has arrived.
I go to delete emails and it is slow and ponderous and moves up and down so I end up deleting the wrong email.
There's loads more problems with this new platform. I just don't understand why they made the change. If it was for the sake of adding one small measly line of advertising then there must be a better way of doing this so you don't alienate all your users.
Please can we have the old one back.

Oh I'm shocked to know this happened since February!
I've just experienced this recently, like at the end of March, I thought maybe it's just a system problem and it'd be fixed, but it's more than a week now and still there's no change at all!
I've tried to search many times, it only says you can switch from Basic to Standard version from the Options button under your username, but there's no Options button anywhere!!!
I'm so frustrated with this version, horrible interface, I can't select more than one email to delete or displace them, instead I have to select each email by click! I cannot change font size or color or style, my email signature is gone, and worse, for every newsletter, I can't see images automatically and I have to choose to show images whenever I open an email!
It's so shocking to know this has been going for others since February and instead of being fixed, it keep affecting more users around the world!!! -

Much to small and very time consuming getting through all the check boxes on what to do with the mail. If anything needed to be changed it would be the news section.

I googled it , found this:
On March 16, 2017, Verizon, had acquired AOL in 2015
That explains it. Verizon is **** service. Their internet sucks, so they are making this aol mail suck. -

After reading other comments below I agree. This new format must have been instituted in order to drive us away from AOL mail. And maybe to ensure the beginning of the end for AOL. If email stays like this, believe me you have won. I would bet email is the only thing causing AOL to hang on cause there are so many of us with email addresses that are decades old. This must be the orchestrated end of AOL.

When I saw the new look for email I was hoping/thinking it was an April Fool's Day joke. I waited another day to see if it reverted to the old version. It didn't. I hate it so much I'm looking for another e-mail provider. The new look is absolutely HORRIBLE. It's ******* my senior eyes. There are no OPTIONS for adjusting the font size, the size of each line, changing the font in the list. It's a sea of WHITE which is stressful on the eyes. I've had to change the brightness of my monitor. It is that annoying. Every time I delete an email I have to go back to the top or bottom of the list instead of being able to proceed to the next line item. The star is tiny. The highlight of the item I am on is so light it might as well not be there. For real, if you keep this format I am changing email providers and I've had AOL email since there first was AOL email. It will be immensely annoying to change all of my email addresses to another provider but that's how annoyed I am. The most annoyed I have ever been with AOL. There is nothing about this that is an improvement. Can't find any adjustments for persons with visual impairments. What kind of focus group did you use to test this format? Or did you even use human beings. THIS IS AWFUL AND I'M ABOUT TO BE OUT!!!!!!!

ATTN: Aol employees:
Someone is OBVIOUSLY trying to end this service (your employment) with these changes. This is NOT a simple "old dogs, new tricks" preference issue, it is a complete and total deviation from usability that's ONLY intention would be to finally get users to go away so they can end it.
There is ZERO other reason for these specific changes.
Zero.

The "new look" for aol mail on Desktop/Windows 10 is JUST AWFUL. In addition, there are zero options at ALL in mail now (ie: bold, italics, link, INSERT PHOTOS, etc). Multiple additional clicks just to show mail READ. WHY???? To finally get us to leave?

NORA ELDRIDGE commented
PLEASE give me back the old format!! Can't change font styles, print size, no option for bold, italics, etc. Why did you change it?
Don't like having to click "apply" to save emails to folders. Why is that necessary? Who thought this one up?
-
GENE LARGE commented
Don't like new. Not user friendly.Takes more clicks to use which means more time. Old version is very user friendly and easier and faster to go through. Please put back old version.

Why did you change from older format from last week into this? I don't appreciate it. I don't want any news nor aol home page nor anything else included on my email page. Also you changed move to: option, making us click on apply. Where as previously, I'd click on move to & click on appropriate folder and it was better that way. I don't want contacts on top either. Place it back the way it was. Place everything back to old format from last week. I strongly dislike your new format. Why change something that isn't broken? I've been loyal using this email and if you're going to keep on making unnecessary changes and do things people dislike, it's not good at all. Thank you.

Your new format sucks. I don't want my mail spread out over 5 pages when I used to be able to fit everything on one. It's HORRIBLE.
