chang back to old format
Please change back to old format for my e-mail. I do not like this new
format. I am a senior I can not see small print or small screens.

Where did the "OLD MAIL" box go in "Classic" AOL??? After being forced to try NEW AOL I chose to go back to Classic only to find it had changed. Gone was my Old Mail box and the appearance and functionality that I have enjoyed. I have had AOL since dial-up internet days ... remember "You've got mail"??? It is becoming GO FIND BETTER EMAIL PROVIDER THAN AOL. Is the purpose to drive away loyal users who have been with AOL from the beginning? RESTORE CLASSIC AOL MAIL and BRING BACK THE OLD MAIL box.

Fully agree with so many posts - the "new AOL" is just horrendous. Bring back the old classic email or I go elsewhere!

Searching has two purposes:
1. To overcome limitations of the SORT function, which never worked properly.
2. To FIND something. Would be nice to be informed of it's location.Sorry for the 'duh' but its well deserved.

Dear Sir or Madam, Could you perhaps stop confusing and unsettling older people with more and more new ideas for the design of your mail page? As soon as you have developed a certain rotine and know where what is, you change your website and you can search for everything again and spend hours finding the simplest steps and using them. I would be happy to come to your office soon and sort through yours Computer all positions new so that you are "optimized" according to my ideas. If you are afraid now, then you know approximately how an aging person feels. With increasing age, one is only partially able to adapt to something new get used to it .Think about it .MFG Calle Margus

Why not add things that are USEFUL to your ad-audience (otherwise known as users), such as...
1. Parse the "from" email into screen name and domain name.
2. Allow the option to sort by the "from" email.
3. Allow the option to sort by the "from" domain name.
4. Allow the option to block by "from" domain name (without limit).
5. Make each of these a one-click change.
6. Reinstate the actual count of emails in each folder (the 999+ is a useless indicator).
7. Reinstate the nicely compact formatting options.Email is not about having a pretty format or lots of bells and whistles. Its about the thing you are trying to accomplish via written and timestamped communication. It is about the user's agenda, not the software developer's agenda.

i now spend 75% of my time looking for widgets that are often not even available in the new version. What a fubar. Certainly not worth the time waiting for email to load while your program is off first trying to retrieve images for an ad.
1. There is too much wasted space in the email list. Please reinstate the option for a compressed format.
2. There is no longer an option to view the true 'From' email account, rather than the made-up name attached to it.
3. There is no longer a setting for the number of emails to view per page; please reinstate this option. If I have to revert to the basic format for sanity, I want the original basic format, not just another also-changed version. Why not add the updated version as an option, while leaving the standard and basic versions available for those who prefer it. It all populates from the same database. Let folks gradually explore it and give feedback. And make feedback easier. This isn't feedback. Its a black hole. A File #13. And a betrayal for those of us who have been loyal.

Reading my email is now a major hassle! 1st ranked comment is to "change back to old format". Yet AOL has done nothing to address this POS mail client. You can no longer select multiple emails and delete...I have to delete each email one at a time. ARE YOU KIDDING? What is this, AOL amateur hour?

WHY WOULD YOU INSTITUTE THIS INFERIOR MAIL SYSTEM. GET BACK TO WHAT THE CUSTOMERS WANT. DONT' DO WHAT BUD LIGHT DID!!! YOU SHOULD BE LEARNING FROM THEIR MISTAKE, NOT DOUBLING DOWN ON IT!!!

The new format - and updated od is just terrible. Missing all options. Editing text, smoothly jump from one email to another. Even search option is worde.

There literally is no difference between read and unread except for a blue dot. What happened to unbolding read emails. Font is difficult to read. Having to scroll all the way to the top or bottom of an email to delete it is a time waster. Reverting to classic email is just a pared down version of the new system. Even Gmail does a gradual rollout so you can switch back and forth while they fix issues. This is nothing more than a cluster......

Why are more clicks now required for almost every task?? It looks like a stuck-in-the-1990s geek got an F on his homework. And you can't even move headings (time, trash) now. shockingly unprofessional work.
