I do not like the new "Basic format" email layout.

The colour change, fine, I can live with that.
Small changes to column content or positioning, fine, I can live with that.
But having adverts forced on me - no way.

I do not like having adverts forced onto me, especially when they are entries in my intray.
I can also confirm that I have never (and I mean never) in my 63 years, bought anything based on having seen it in an advert. In fact the opposite usually happens and I will avoid going to anyone that has forced an advert onto me. So if advertisers want me to buy their product - then you had better start sending me adverts for your competitors.

As many other people have said - we use AOL email to get email. Do not force anything else onto us when we just want our email.

It isn't important, because I just started a GMail acct. Simplier and intuitive.

Why did you change? The previous eMail worked fine and was intuitive. This is a load of ****. The navigation bombs on the simplest tasks and takes multiple attempts before resorting to left-handed to get a simple job done. My great idea is to stop trying to make something that everyone understand and can navigate it to something that only happened because some overpaid fool decided it was necessary.

I have used AOL Mail since the mid 80's for personal and business accounts. If I cannot go back to the original version all of my accounts will be gone at the end of June. PLUS it seems you do not want feedback, the process is also terrible, I had to agree to a new service just to log in to comment even though I was already logged in.

I hate the new AOL. Change it back. Where is the search? Where are the beautiful colors? The print is too small. This hurts my eyes!

I am not 20. Here's a question for every person over 40 that still uses your unprofessional service. WHY IS THE FONT SO **** SMALL?

The "New" system is slow, awkward, limiting, confusing and in general the worst thing you've ever done. Bring the old system back.

It's been a few days and I HATE it more every day - you've screwed EVERYTHING up and I want my old mail back NOW!!!! I can't even forward emails the way I want to and have had to slog through a bunch to put them in an OLD MAIL folder that I had to set up. This sucks.

I can't find "more settings" and cannot find a place to set auto spell check...yikes, the new format is challenging and not easy....

Bring back the "old mail" mailbox!!!! If it ain't broke don't fix it!

I tried it when it first came out and didn't want it then. I still don't want it!!!

Woke up this morning to this horror format. WHY does a person hv to click so many times on this format? WHICH tech engineer decided ths ws the more efficient way to operate. Who mde thse changes with no warning n no feedback? Now there is no "old Mail" - it is tagged onto existing new mail screen after new unread mail. Need to click each n evry one, then go bk to the top, click "delete", then click "apply" - that's is so stupid to hv to hv ths process. Previously u cud click 1 mail, hold dwn shift key to select all the mail n hit delete - what the heck are u guys thinking? To move a e-mail now: mre clicks instead of dragging to the file name. The left side bar does not scroll down anymre: u need to click on the mail, click on the "move to", hit "apply" instead of prev one step process of dragging the mail into the folder. WHY did this happen? - more clicking is tough on a person's hands - carpro!!!! I hate ths format n really hope u take all thse comments to revert bk to the prev format. Outlook mail is looking so much mre desirable now.

I would like to add, Auto refresh is also gone. No new window for compose or reading. inbox page limited to 50 emails. I have had AOL since the early dial-up days and this is HORRIBLE I DO NOT WANT EVERYTHING IN ONE SLOW WINDOW>>

Bring back the old format. Why am I deleting old e-mails I've deleted before? Why can't I edit preprepared mailing lists when in BCC?

Why did you remove the basic functions of email? There are no options for composing. It takes too many steps to get through the inbox, delete trash and spam, delete mail from your inbox, or read my mail. why did you remove the function of a preview on the bottom of the screen with only a handful of unread messages. Also the scrolling is gone. why do I have to go page by page looking for certain emails. I can't find a way to search. Plus numerous other problems. Who tested this product before the install.

You have eliminated the basic functions of composing and reading email. No place to change the font, Bold, underline, etc.....Please bring back the basic functions

Remove all read mail from the inbox. I am seeing emails from as far back as 2009. We used to have an Old Mail file, what happened to it ??

The new version of AOL is a step back from what we had! I cannot use the classic version because it is too slow. I use the basic version and the "new and improved" is only "new." Now we have to use an "APPLY" or "GO" button when we want to change something? How ridiculous! So I have to do twice the work to get something done when before I could just push a tab across the top to move files, re-organize me inbox. In addition, now we have TABS across the top? I don't and won't use those. This has been a waste of time and resources. I guess you must WANT people to find new email services away from AOL. Good job! I use this account through work and I have not been able to focus on work today because I am busy trying to get my mail to work. I want the old basic version back. It was SO much easier to navigate. However, when I called into customer service, Alice was so sweet and apologetic for my woes. I am sorry for Alice to have to take all these calls and apologize for something she has no control over.

Bring back old format!!!!
