How can we improve AOL Mail?

AOL does not update

I will see that I have a new email, but when I click on "new mail" nothing shows UNLESS I go up to the "refresh button" on my browser. THEN the new mail will show. Very bad web design.

Hi. Fix problems when an AOL website isn't working:


Start with the first step, then see if your problem is resolved before moving on to the next.


Clear your browser's cache.

Update your browser.

Restart your computer.

Make sure that JavaScript is enabled.

Disable browser enhancements.

Temporarily disable antivirus, antispyware, and firewall products.

See if the AOL service works from another computer or mobile device.

Reset your browser to default settings.

    You keep asking me to upgrade when your regular email is total ****. Why should I pay you anything when basic freezes and is slow FIRCK'N SLOW> if I upgrade IT WILL NOT BE AOL OR YAHOO ******** !!!!!!!

    PLEASE-- make it possible to scroll through the body of hte email. If it is already possible, please tell me how to do it. THat's what I miss most about classic email-- when I try to scroll through my message, it scrolls through the inbox, hte message disappears, and the information I want, maybe even urgently NEED to know, has passed from view, which is more than frustrating --***'s become a matter for psychotherapy, it's traumatic

    Fix the delete function forthe Spam and Traash folders. Someone screwed it up. I can't delete any content fro either folder.

    I can only see just a one or two most recent e-mails. I cannot see or access earlier or older emails. What's up with this???? If it's not fixed, then I'll just close this out and start using my google account instead.

    I had an e-mail with 15 attachments that would not allow me to download files about half way through the process. I have also had e-mails with only four files attached that will let you down load one and not let you download the rest of the files. Who is the programmer that set up tis BS????? Really Terrible Job!!!!!!!!! AOL has gone into the toilet!!!! Hire new programmers. Have them intervi9ew some of us that you the system every day and then get management out of the way. You may get a good product again.

    AOL keeps freezing up and I haver to restart computer all the time. What's the problem? Should I uninstall then reinstall?

    Can't print anymore, nothing happens when I click on the printer icon. It used to open up a new window where I could print out of, it worked yesterday, but now it doesn't anymore !!!!
    What is going on ????
    Fix it !!!!

    When there is mail, I click on it, but it won't load. That's the reason I went to another email provider. I used aol since the 90s, but it no longer works.

    I logged in. On the left it shows I have 3 emails in my inbox, but I cannot see them!!! Nor can I see any emails in any of the other folders.

    You have an issue with Mail loading on Google Chrome. All other websites access fine. I can also get new mail to load normally with MS Edge - it only appears to be on Google Chrome; Windows 10 & Chrome Version 118.0.5993.89 (Official Build) (64-bit)

    All too often, my email takes too long to load and there are times (many lately) whre I'm told that I have no (Wi-Fi) signal. But when I check my Wi-Fi capability, it states that I am connected. Is AOL down to one tower in all of North America?

    When double-clicking an email to open it or when deleting an email that I've read, the screen flashes black for a second before showing the email I've opened or the inbox after deletion. This is a new problem that is very disorienting and needs to be addressed. I suspect the app is having an issue drawing your ads, which is detrimental to your customers' PAID email experience. Please fix this.

    Each one of us in the office must refresh the BROWSER before we can refresh new mail. This is so frustrating because if someone answered an email, the others still see it as a new email. Used to, when someone responded, it was automatically moved to old mail.

    Took 2 hrs for AOL mail to load this morning, which is why I changed my email to another server quite some time ago. I see AOL has done nothing to change that problem.
