AOL does not update
I will see that I have a new email, but when I click on "new mail" nothing shows UNLESS I go up to the "refresh button" on my browser. THEN the new mail will show. Very bad web design.
Hi. Fix problems when an AOL website isn't working:
Start with the first step, then see if your problem is resolved before moving on to the next.
Clear your browser's cache.
Update your browser.
Restart your computer.
Make sure that JavaScript is enabled.
Disable browser enhancements.
Temporarily disable antivirus, antispyware, and firewall products.
See if the AOL service works from another computer or mobile device.
Reset your browser to default settings.
If you need additional help, please contact us on Twitter at @AOLSupportHelp or on Facebook at our AOL Customer Care page. If you do not have a social media account, we are available at help.aol.com.
Thank you,
AOL team

Better support of the use of Alt codes in email messages. Alt + 131 wipes out the whole text of the already written part of the email.

Windows XP running Chrome on 3.2 GHz machine, 2GB RAM, cannot access AOL webmail after 9/24/2025. After entering password, AOL just spins forever. AOL changed entry screens or length of address without conducting a live test on a test system running Windows XP. AOL still says Chrome on XP will work in Basic mode. It no longer works!

In the last two weeks, when the aol and aol.mail pages load, they consume a lot of RAM, slowing the computer. This issue frequently occurs with aol. Solve it ASAP, or I will definitively stop using you, which will be one less customer that consumes your also always annoying excessive ads.

When attempting move emails from Inbox to one of my many folders using drag method, no longer works. Every time I attempt to do this, a new pane on the left appears that says, create a split view! What the heck is this? This new trigger for Split View Prevents my ability to drag and drop emails to folders. Using Google Chrome on Windows 11.
This is a HUGE Inconvenience! Furthermore, there is no documentation or explanation of what this new Split View is or dos. Not even sure why it's triggering? I use several other online webmail sites for business, and none of them are doing this behavior when I try to drag and drop emails to folders. -

MS Edge fails to retain open Favorites when it closes. This occurs despite having settings made to retain open Tabs and Favorites on closing or restarting. It appears that Firefox consistently outperforms Edge in this catagory too.

I can no longer wait several minutes for the new AOL E-MAIL to load and at times goes completely off line. Either speed it up and fix it or go back to the old AOL or I am gone . I have a new APPLE computer , and have already opened Comcast & G-MAIL accounts to switch my "bookmarks" over and they work 20 maybe 30 times faster this verison of AOL . FIX IT !!!!!! I have had enough !!!!!!!! David W. Montgomery , Denton , Md.

PLEASE-- make it possible to scroll through the body of hte email. If it is already possible, please tell me how to do it. THat's what I miss most about classic email-- when I try to scroll through my message, it scrolls through the inbox, hte message disappears, and the information I want, maybe even urgently NEED to know, has passed from view, which is more than frustrating --***'s become a matter for psychotherapy, it's traumatic
