keep getting spam from "blocked" senders
I keep getting SPAM in my folder from @kellykat.com. I've blocked these emails multiple time, but still they come. I'm getting more and more SPAM in my inbox, which I move to SPAM. You always ask if I want to "unsubscribe." I never subscribed to these domains. They are just trying to get AOL to give them legitimate email addresses. Wise up!
Hi. We're sorry to hear you're receiving spam emails! We have some solutions for you, please refer to this article to learn how to best manage unwanted emails: https://help.aol.com/articles/aol-mail-spam-and-privacy We also added additional security features for AOL Mail: https://help.aol.com/articles/additional-security-features-in-aol-mail Moreover, the block feature is best used for people, not spam, since spammers can use spoofed accounts. This means, what you see and add to your blocked list might not be the actual sender address. If you need assistance, you can reach out to us at https://help.aol.com/contact/
Thank you!

Messages from frequent contacts continue to go into the spam folder even though I have marked every single one of them as "Not Spam". This is now a very large issue as I am missing important updates.
Even after marking as "not spam"; emails from the same recipient go into the spam folder.

The facility to highlight unwanted senders like SPAM e-mails has disappeared. To Block except for contacts is of no help as it is crucial to nominate those senders that are acceptable, and the option to Block certain unwanted senders has been dropped recently. WHY??

Sounds like you may have been hacked on a shopping site somewhere. I had that happen to me a couple years ago where someone hacked my Amazon account & hid fraudulent purchases in a flood of spam emails. Check for any purchases you didn't make & change your passwords.

I am suddenly getting a flood of spam--like100 within a few seconds. what can i do other than moving each one to spam

The spam filter is not as effective as it used to be. For the past few days I've received emails that are clearly spam in my inbox several times a day (sometimes right after I had just marked one as spam) instead of them going to the spam folder like they should've. Fix the filter!

Too much spam is filtering through. I am paying for AOL because I was told AOL had more advanced filters.

You took away my blocker so I had to figure out how I could stop most if not all of the spammers. The one company which is a problem is Microsoft. They are the company for all the daily and ongoing sex related spammers in Des Moines, Iowa, Moses Lake, Washington and for a smaller spammer from Boydton, Virginia. I have written to abuse@microsoft.com every single day in January.

How to help stop spammers.
1) Go to the More dropdown in the email, view raw message and find originating IP on top of the screen
2) Do a google search for the IP number which will give you location and email address for reporting
3) Send the email to that address for reporting and to the FTC. (I did that for almost all the spam emails received through today.)
4) Do a PrtSc and copy it in your email. Here are the sex related email addresses which continue to arrive daily through 01 31 24. ALL ARE CONNECTED TO MICROSOFT.
1) I found the info I needed as stated above.
2) I sent ALL THE EMAILS to abuse@microsoft.com and to the FTC.
3) Almost all are equally from Des Moines, Iowa and Moses Lake, Washington and just a very few from Boydton, Virginia.SEX-RELATED SPAMMERS - I HAVE IP ADDRESSES AND LOCATIONS FOR ALL THESE SEX-RELATED SPAMMERS.

AOL needs to block fake email addresses' SPAM/phishing emails from ever reaching AOL customers' inboxes or SPAM folders. This includes emails that have no email address. AOL customers should not need to resort to blocking emails from those not in their contacts or adding these fake email addresses to their blocked email addresses.
A note: Most SPAM emails I get are from these fake email addresses. Oath and AOL can decipher from the more specific email information if emails are legitimate or fake email addresses and block fake email addresses from innundating AOL customers from receiving more SPAM and phishing emails than legitimate emails. Oath and AOL can solve and correct this critical problem that makes AOL email less enjoyable.

BLOCK SENDER OPTION: As if the new AOL webmail design was not awful enough, now the "Block Sender" option within the Spam folder is missing or no longer there. I'm assuming there's a threshold max limitation that has been exceeded, which is just useless, when spam and fraud emails are at an all time high! Please do something to reduce or stop the the SPAM. Need an option to Block domains, too. Not to mention the fact that the reading pain is not bigger enough because of your annoying ads on the right side of the UI. I refuse to pay $10 per month, just so I can read emails in a comfortable way that I can get for Free from Outlook, Thunderbird or any other 3rd party local app. Get with the program before you really become obsolete!

Most SPAM in my SPAM/junk folder comes from fake/illegitimate email addresses. I get more SPAM emails per day than emails I have legitimately asked for and/or subscribed to. AOL can block illegitimate email addresses proactively so that fake, phishing, and SPAM emails do not reach AOL email customers' inboxes or SPAM folders AT ALL!
I have a gmail email address also. I get ZERO junk/SPAM emails there. The thing is, I have used my AOL email address for years. Maybe that is a reason why I get so much SPAM in my AOL email account. However, if AOL used technology to recognize fake/illegitimate email addresses and refused to let those emails get to AOL email customers' inboxes, then AOL email would be much better than it is currently and would be more enjoyable. I do not enjoy getting more junk/SPAM emails per day than legitimate emails. Please implement the technology to eliminate fake emails from reaching our inboxes or SPAM folders.

pyaelwj@wlutt0w.coordinally.xyz
admin@ofxwij.realcomicstudio.com

There was also another one in the past that ended in brackets around the word "domain" that made it into my spam email but also could not be blocked.

There are emails that made it to my AOL Spam box, whose email addresses after I tried to block them, were unable to be blocked when I tried to block them because AOL stated that the email address was "invalid". Then how did these "invalid" email addresses get their spam emails into my AOL Spam box?
-
Chance Master commented
I get SPAM from "info.em." followed by different characters. When I try to enter the URL I get invalid message. Also if I try to enter wildcard after "info.em." I get invalid message.
The time stamp for the SPAM is from AM to PM.
How can I block the e-mails? -
Jill Hunt commented
Please, please bring back blocking e mails which contain a certain word. eg I get so many from aspire, erectile, and others. I block the sender but these people have hundreds of e mail addresses. If I could just block the word "aspire" etc it would be so much better. I have nearly 400 in my blocked sender e mail and it grows daily

I need much more than 1000 capacity to add blocked emails to. This should be almost limitless to match the limitless spam and junk emails infecting our mail boxes
