An error occurred while saving the comment Anne Lore commentedJust give us an alternative platform as close as possible to the old email and LET US CHOOSE.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anne Lore commentedYoo hoo, AOL-- we still don't like it! Please create an alternate platform as close to the former email as possible and GIVE US A CHOICE between that and the detested new format. Pleeeeeeze!
An error occurred while saving the comment Anne Lore commentedIt's one thing to introduce new features occasionally, but it was a very unwise decision to throw out a perfectly good platform and expect users to simply get used to it, especially where the replacement seems inferior in so many ways. As you can see, many of us are not getting used to it, and deeply resent AOL's disregard for the needs of long-time loyal customers. We strongly urge AOL to create an alternative platform that closely resembles the former email and give users the option of switching. This is a reasonable and logical request, and would be an immense relief to thousands-- plus serve to rehabilitate AOL's now-much-tarnished image.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anne Lore commentedPLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE GIVE US THE OLD EMAIL BACK, PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE. And if you won't do that, create a platform as close to it as possible to offer as an alternative option. The new "Standard" is unacceptable. Please listen to us!
An error occurred while saving the comment Anne Lore commentedAnd the new platform is called "Standard", to make it seem normal. If AOL absolutely won't scrap "Standard" despite all our entreaties-- and after all, someone put a good deal of work into the misbegotten thing--, then create an alternative as close as possible to the old AOL so we have another option, one we can live with. That's a reasonable approach, and a reasonable request.
An error occurred while saving the comment Anne Lore commentedAOL assumes that we'll just get used to this miserable substitute and stop complaining. I know I'm not used to it, and don't expect or wish to be. It's UNCOMFORTABLE. It's one thing tinkering with the platform and tweaking a little here and a little there, but replacing the whole thing is a huge mistake. Don't they care about us at all?

Anne Lore supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Anne Lore commentedOne of the problems with the new "Standard" AOL is that functions that seem to have disappeared are actually there-- but they have a different look and location, evidently just for our annoyance... It's that 'all change is better' mentality. Notice how a couple of days ago they just moved the button for email all the way to the right? What was the sense in that? If they're trying to tweak "Standard" to be more user-friendly they should be moving towards and not away from the former layout--WHICH WE WANT BACK, PLEASE!!!!!!!!! By the way, Spellcheck is that little ABC with a checkmark at the bottom of the email frame.
If people are referring to the available stationery designs, perhaps more have been added since most of these comments were posted. I can't say that I like most of the designs-- tacky modernist-stylized, most of them without a background color. The old stationery had a few that didn't seem quite so cheesy-- but they're gone. Whose bright idea was all of this, anyway?
